It's 10 months away and King Tut will be gone, but what would you do? Spend the day in Ft. Lauderdale and take a late flight home? or just get the earliest flight home? We're disembarking the Silver Shadow on 11/21/06. I've tried to find some things to do, but haven't come up with much so far. Thanks for any ideas!

Lynn and I spent 3 days post-cruise in 2002 at the Marriott beach resort. Not much to do in FLL and it would be anti climatic for you. Even a first class hotel pales when compared to a luxury cruise. I'd just go home.

Frankly, I'd go home too....And I live nearby in Boca Raton!! If you have several hours before your flight you might want to take a cab over to Las Olas and wander around the shops/boutiques. Then get a cab back to the airport which will be about 10 minutes away.

You aren't too far from Miami and you could visit South Beach. Other than go shopping (Sawgrass Mills is a whole day of outlet shopping) that'd be all I would suggest.

Kim: Have you ever watched Jai Alai? They have Tuesday afternoon matinees at Dania Jai Alai, only three miles from the port and about as far to the airport. Here is their website .

Thanks for the thoughts. We probably won't hang around much. I agree about anything being anticlimactic. However, I bet my SO would want to see South Beach just out of curiousity. I'll check with her on that.
Marc, the Jai Alai suggestion is very interesting! We are not familiar with it at all.
