In Cozumel a few years ago on the Silver Shadow, we had such bad wind and waves the captain had to drag the anchor to be able to dock. The crew seemed very surprised that we didn't just skip the port. Our scuba diving was canceled because of the weather; however, on the other side of the island it was very calm. This, I understand, is the opposite of the typical weather there. So, we were advised to take a taxi over there. We found a beautiful beach and the snorkeling was great. The taxi waited for us and after about an hour we were ready to go back to the ship. So, maybe, depending on conditions, you can find better snorkeling than around the pier. I have dives booked, so I'm hoping for the "typical" weather, not the sort that would make for nice snorkeling on the other side of the island! sorry wink

Costa Maya -- Ash, I booked the dives in Costa Maya. Decided not to risk it filling up.

Key West - I booked dives in Key West, so I'm going to cancel the catamaran snorkeling. If anyone is wait-listed for that, maybe you'll clear now.

Belize - Sticking with the Absolute Paradise excursion. Couldn't find a dive op would get us out of the water early enough to get our "no fly" time in before we fly to Tikal the next day in Guatemala.
