We did not have a guide in Athens, although I had a car lined up to get us from the Airport and several days later take us to the ship. Considering most of their cabs are not air conditioned and the drivers smoke, I think this was a huge win. We had one worthless dinner and one very good, but I can't remember where. The first night we just did dinner at the Hotel (which was great) since we had to race to see the Parthenon due to the potential strike.
