I've sailed with Seabourn to Indonesia and am booked on a Thailand and Burma cruise in December. We did Istanbul to Athens on one of the Sea Goddess ships (now SeaDream) when they were part of Seabourn.

They had some great excursions - especially the evening at Ephesus - a private chamber music concert. We had the whole place to ourselves - it was magical. I think they still do this as their complementary Seabourn event. Don't miss it!

Another thing they offered before the ship sailed was a chance to see the whirling dervishes in Istanbul - very interesting.

While in Athens I recommend you take a day trip out to Delphi. We hired George, the famous Greek taxi driver, for sightseeing in Athens and also for the day trip which we took with another couple from the ship who was also staying a few extra days in Athens. He was very charming and we had a great time with him.
