Thanks so much everyone for all of the opinions and suggestions -- this was a huge help! We're pretty sure we're going to switch to the Mariner, but we're investigating a couple other options as well so I haven't taken any actions yet. I do still someday want to do the PG, but I think that's a cruise I should take with my husband, or someone else who is more into the whole water-sports scene. My mom is loving the idea of the 10 sea days -- she is definitely hip to the concept of relaxing in the total luxury that the ship will provide, rather than doing all the running around we did on our last cruise.
