After three days in Moscow and three in St. Pete's, I know what it is like not to be able to read anything and not to make myself understood! It amazes me that they welcome tourists yet make no effort at transliterating into an alphabet that is better understood. My husband speaks some Rumanian so we may put him to use! I'll explore some guide books and see if I'm brave enough to go it alone. Thanks for the advice!
