Kathy, at least you don't have mountain lions. We worry that school children waiting for the bus are at risk. I've seen 2 of them in my back yard in the last year. They are not to be messed with. Although human attacks are rare they do happen. The Arizona Game and Fish Dept are very good at helping us deal with them, but they take a lot of flak when they do shoot them in the mountain parks. At least here they have a lot of space to escape to in the summer.
