We are staying on in Istanbul for a few days after the cruise, leaving for the US on Oct. 13.

Will you be joining us on DOF? I hope so!

Denise, we will only be on the Oct 11th cruise. My hubbie can't ever get more than 11 days off work at a time so I think we will just have one night in Istanbul and one night in Venice. I wish I could spend more time in Istanbul, I've never been there.

We've never been to Istanbul, either, so this is very exciting.

I know what you mean about limited vacation time. I am very limited; however, my husband has weeks and weeks.

Our tour guide, Roberta, was wonderful. She got us into The Doges Secret Itinerary Tour without any crowds, whatsoever. This is a very popular tour. If you contact them for touring, please be sure to request just Roberta - we had another guide, Christine, who took us around one day and she is no Roberta!
