Just received updated flight notice
our NWA flight from MPL to FLL arrives at 3:13 pm on the 10th now. Almost 1 hour later than original time of arrival.
Sure it will change again before we leave.

FINALLY!
On Northwest Airlines you can not make your seat assignments until 90 days before the flight.
Well I did our March 10th flights at 89 days and kind of forgot to go back until today do do the rest. Shocked it said 71 days!
Sure they will change a dozen times but at least I got them in, AND I did not have to pay extra for the dumb preferred seating!

We just decided to join the FUN, having cut and run on VIKINGS. We look forward to joining you all!

I haven't read all five pages here carefully; is there a gathering place/time for LCTers to meet and get (re) acquainted?

Welcome aboard Pat and Mike. :woh:

I am sure a lot of us will see each other somewhere?? on the night of March 10th in FLL
and again on the pool deck while waiting for our cabins. But maybe we should consider meeting PORT side(left) somewhere after the muster drill.
Since I have never been on the Navigator I don't know where to recommend. Does the Navigator have a Observation Lounge or something like that? That has always worked well on Voyager, and Mariner.
Or guess we could all meet on the pool deck for a sail away party (port side) before the muster drill.

Any thoughts??????

FYI::
I sent a e-mail to Regent asking how I could pre-book excursions and received a nice note back
from a Linda Willadsen. She asked me to send her a e-mail with our excursion requests and she would forward it on to the ship.
Guess if you would like to pre-book your excursions
go ahead and send Linda a e-mail.

I love reading about FUN although we had to cancel I will be following this trip with envy - Jim there is lounge, with big lovely outside deck, on top deck of Navigator like Observation - never could remember how to spell it - Galileo? Or sail away is always FUN - you can't miss with the group on FUN!!!

Yes, Galilleo's. Our favorite place on the ship. Have FUN!

Ok. So if I understand it correctly
and look at a Navigator ship deck plan
Galilleo's is on deck twelve and as far forward
as you can go. AND it is very similar to Observation Lounge aboard Mariner, and Voyager.
Am I correct?

When we were on, in 2004, Galileos was on deck 11 in the rear. There is/was an observation lounge on deck 12 way forward, but it was never used, except for private functions, which was ashame I thought. Have they moved Galileos to there? What is on deck 11 now where Galileos use to be?

Yep. You are right.
After looking again at a deck plan
Galileos is at the stern,(back) of the ship on
deck 11.
Would that be a good "meeting place" ??
Thank you for your help.

Galileos is the best place for a meeting place. That is where the CAVIAR group met last July. Very nice area with lots of room and a nice outside area as well.

Galileos is where we have set up meetings with people we hadn't met before. Nice, nice place with a great coffee machine.

Well??
Should we set up a "FUN" meeting in Galileos?
Question is when? confused

I see our scheduled departure time is 5:00 pm
so I would almost bet muster drill will be 5:30 to 6:00 pm

Sounds good.
Ralph or Pam:
Should we meet on starboard (right) or port (left)
of Galileos? Always think that is important
for new people so they know who they are looking for.

Jim, they will probably be able to hear us, lol. I don't remember Galileo's being that big? If memory serves me correctly, the bar is on the right side when you walk in :)

Editing to add, I thought Betty or I had a picture of Galileos on the Ofoto/Kodak site but I just checked and I don't see one :(

I would suggest the right side as you walk in the is the side the bar is on. The left side is used by the ship for private functions from time to time and using the right side avoids any potential conflicts. Galileo's is a very nice room.

If your scheduled departure time is 5:00 the muster drill is more likely to be at 4:15 with the sail away party begining at 4:45.

Thanks Jim Bittle for that information.
Guess I have never really paid attention when we did the muster drill before.

Or as a friend of mine said.
"Catch up and muster drill"

As I remember, on SAMBA we met several times on the left side as you walk in, and there was one of those long couches, but also several seating areas over by the side windows.

So, Galileos (deck 11, aft) on March 11 at 6:30 is when the [on-board] FUN begins. We'll be there!

I probably won't know my cabin number till I get the docs.

Yes, my home page countdown clock says 57 days!

Yes. I can't check my cruises at the RSSC site to see if I have been assigned yet so we will probably have to wait for the docs.

Yes.We're arriving on the 10th but unfortunately we don't get in until after 6:00pm. We also decided to stay a day after the cruise.... I don't think we'll be in any rush to get back to reality.
