Well, an update on my end...
I may not be able to do the Canopy or the Horseback this time around. I have a spigelian hernia that developed sometime after I had Alexandra last year...well..it is getting bigger and more painful I will have to have surgery for it in the next month or so...however, I think if I do it before the cruise it will certianly put a damper on the entire experience, so I will go in for surgery the following Tuesday of our return.
I'm sure the surgeon will tell me it would still be okay if I did the Canopy and Horseback riding, but I think I want to play it safe. I have been travelling up to Seattle a couple a days a week since late August and with all the running around with my carry ons, I can tell it is getting aggravated...so I will probably take the opportunity to take naps again the afternoon (what a treat!)
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

Why would the surgeon do that, Masaki? Doesn't tequila fall into the category of "clear liquid"? MarnaLou

Todd, Jim, Anthony and MINTers...is this the excursion that you signed up for in Puerto Vallarta?
Canopy Adventure Tour code: PVR5535. Duration: 4½ Hours. Difficult Walking, Refreshments. The lush, emerald-green tropical forest which surrounds Puerto Vallarta provides a biological paradise of rich diversity and a stunning profusion of tropical fauna. Our canopy tour gives you a chance to see this amazing world from a unique perspective. You will traverse from tree to tree and platform to platform using pulleys on horizontal cables as you sail through the treetops of the forest canopy and over the trails below.
Expert guides assist you in this exciting journey through the different layers of the primitive wilderness from the time you leave the ground until you rappel back down to the forest floor.
Please note: Participants need to be at least 8 years old and over 4' tall. This tour is not recommended for persons with heart problems, seizure disorders, or problems with vertigo or balance. Guests must have the ability to walk 15 minutes uphill and up steps. Furthermore, the maximum weight is 120 kilos or 250 pounds. Either shorts or long pants along with closed shoes are recommended. Bring insect repellant and a light sweater. This tour might not operate exclusively for RSSC guests (hotel guests and other cruise ship guests may join you on this tour).

Right you are Marcie!
Although, I still do not know for sure if I am registered for the darn thing. I tried online twice but never did receive confirmation. I have yet to take Jim's advice and call Radisson.
Maybe I'll get a chance next week.

In Puerto Vallerta, I'm thinking of Las Caletas. Has anyone been there before? In Cabos, I think the Land's End Boat Tour and Scenic Drive, since we're there for such a short time. Because we have 3 1/2 sea days, I think I will be eager to be off the ship when we are in ports!

Okay, we're signed up for the Canopy Tour (Lord help me) and the sea kayaking ecoadventure in Cabo.
Do you need to bring sturdy boots or anything for the Canopy event?

I too am doing that Kyaking in Los Cabos. Sounds like fun.....we go to the famous rock in Los Cabos accessable by water only I believe.
Regarding boots??? Not sure. I's say Tennis Shoes that you don't mind getting dirty or can throw in the laundry.

Olivia: I can't get Tony to sit down and look at the excursions - I think the PV one you are interested in looks wonderful - thank God he does not read this board - we'd like to think about the canopy deal but it says people with heart conditions should not do it - he's too macho to admit he has a heart condition but I doubt we'll do it - Joanna

Well, Todd, I think we are going to the same rock, we will wave from the trimaran at you in your kayak! The longest I ever lasted on a Kayak was about 1/2 hour, and the time thing chased me away. Besides, I want to get up high for some good pictures.
Joanna, I googled Las Caletas today and there are some really pretty pictures. More than just beach, and there are hammocks in shady areas as well as umbrellas. Only thing, it is all day, and we will have to wait till cocktail hour to hear about the Canopy adventure!

In Cabo San Lucas we should definitely go to the "Giggling Marlin"....it's a tradition! I've been hung upside down there several times in my younger, wilder days! Anyone else been there?

Marcie, just checked out that website and the "are you hung?" (or something like that) photos in their gallery. Don't think so, but would love to get pictures of you and Tom! I don't think I saw anyone over 35. Maybe Lawrence, Todd, Anthony and Paige?

Oh you guys must be kidding!!!!: "One of the most popular things to do is to get yourself hoisted up the trophy wall and feel what it likes to be a prized marlin. If you're brave enough we'll mix a tequilla shooter right in your mouth while you're hanging around. " ![[Linked Image]](http://www.gigglingmarlin.com/graphics/wellhung/99group.jpg)

What ever happened with the sport fishing idea? Did anyone sign up for the ship's excursion in Mazatlan...or has anyone organized their own tour? Scott is still interested, but wasn't sure who, if anyone, was interested!

Scotty, I think we'll pass on the fishing. I have been out on sports boats before in Cabo and even hooked a marlin that weighed almost 200 lbs! I will say that it is a LOT OF WORK and SWEAT to bring them in. After working at it for an hour I was so exhausted and had to turn it over to a man onboard. It took him another hour or more to actually get in onboard and as you can see he was a large man. My arms were so sore, I couldn't move for 2 days. They are so strong and really fight to get away! ![[Linked Image]](http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Oct/20041043825406285564970.jpg)

Hmm - hanging upside down - I might would do this after a bit of partaking of the local refreshments, although I would need lots of company :)
Sheri, I actually have a private tour arranged for sportfishing. I chartered a 42 foot boat (from what is supposed to be a very good company) and at present am by myself. If Scott would be interested we can arrange for him to join me.

Anyone doing the PV Snorkelling excursion? I'd like to get a snorkelling trip in on this cruise, and that seems to be the only one offered.
And what is the status of the Mazatlan Wildlife Expedition? The REAL one. Or is there another "wildlife" tour at that stop?
I really have been too busy to pay much attention to the excursions, but it's getting to be time to pay attention now.
