Is there anyone out there that can't decide if they want to go or not that we need to gang up on?

I may regret this, but I will try to play with my Adobe Illustrator to see if I can come up with a design for signs if most want one.
If I do this and we all agree that it is acceptable, then I can print them up.
If the majority wants a sign, let me know. Also any design ideas would be appreciated.
I was thinking of incorporating the LCT logo with the ship as a watermark into the sign if that is acceptable to the owners of the board.
Anthony
Editing to add: Are signs frowned upon on board? WOuld they prefer we not have these? Ngaire, your expertise is needed!

You know, I seem to remember some rumblings of people being upset about our signs on VOF...or was it DDD? At any rate, I agree with you Anthony...we need our fearless leader's opinion on whether or not to do it!

I heard about those Rumblings as well.....but I believe those signs said "Cruise Critic" and the other passengers were thinking that these people would get better service than them because they are "Critics". So LCT will look more like an affiliation or charter or whatever.....so I think that might be a better situation.

You could be right Todd! I am hoping that Ngaire will chime in here. I don't want to do anything that would cause problems for her or make her uncomfortable in any way.

The problem was on DDD not VOF. Some people assumed that the signs had been given to us by RSSC and we were being singled out as VIP's (which is against the rules). I think it's OK if there is no commercial logo. The only real problem I can forsee (not that I really know what I'm talking about ) is that our group may actually seem to outnumber the rest of the passengers thus making them feel left out. (Of course they are, but that's another story...)

Radisson rules prohibit any group from any signage or name tags that single them out as a group. Only exception is a large group that has a hospitality table for special co-ordination.
On VOF we were fairly small on a larger ship and nothing was said. On DDD there were complaints and we were asked to take down the signs. Sheri and Suzanne batted their eyelids at a senior officer not to be named here and we were able to keep them.
It is not worth having a problem over so I think for now we should not do it. If I find it is okay with RSSC I will let you know. We certainly could not put LCT on there in anyway as that could be construed as advertising and that would be inappropriate.

I absolutely agree.
It is really not worth ticking off the powers that be, or more importantly, slighting our fellow passengers.

I'm with you guys....we will just all have lists of the specific cabin numbers that our LCT clan are in. That way we can order room service for the correct people!!! :D JUST kidding!

Don't forget. You can run, but you can't hide your shoes!! I learned this all too well...RUNNING down the hall of the Voyager on my 1st night in my PJ's...only to be locked out of my own cabin! I would deserve the "Boner Award" for being oh so stupid! <img border="0" alt="[Hammer]" title="" src="graemlins/hammer.gif" />

Todd,
I do not see why not, although, again, I defer to Ngaire.
I cannot imagine this would offend anyone, but who knows.
Let me know what you all think.
If we go with this idea, I would put the Mariner or Voyager as a watermark in the back with the screen names and real names of those involved.

Just want to wish you all a wonderful trip! Last week John and I came this close (picture thumb-index finger VERY close together) to booking. Even emailed Ngaire. But, back to our senses, too many trips to little time and $$$. With PIP and the 007 in the same year, and now ROAR on the horizon.....something would have to go. Certainly this will be a people trip, with a wonderful group.

Wow, what pressure!!!! You guys are bad. I knew I shouldn't have mentioned it. I only want to go to see old friends and meet new ones. But, I want to go on all the other trips, too!!! I am the level headed one (don't know how that happened), if it were up to John we would be on every trip with all of you, and figure out how to pay for it later!! Hmmmmm, although if we don't go, I don't know how everyone will get their door signs. They are way to valuable to go via reg. mail.........

Marcie, We can add two more to the list. Joe & Carolyn Behar, cabin #1110. Carolyn is Gretchen's sister. The more the merrier, although I don't see how this group could get any merrier. I can't wait to meet all of you. Julie

And welcome to Joe and Carolyn! They're not related to Joy Behar, are they? :D

08/30/04 Well we have 74 days before the"MINT" On September 13th we can begin booking excursions on line. Other than the canopy tour Jan and I are lost at what other tours would be interesting. We have pulled up the lists, but just can't decide. Anyone have any ideas?
