Just wondered if anyone has been on board any of the Regent ships lately and been able to get a look at the 2010 itineraries. We were on the Grand Crossing November 2008 and they had the 2009 itineraries (tentative) at that time (that's we when booked our May 2009 cruise). We are especially hopeful the South America Cruise which includes the Amazon to Manaus might reappear. Thanks in advance for any info!

Welcome fellow Texan, Cindy! We have quite a few people from this board on ships now, maybe they will see your post and let you know.

The 2009 itineraries were out far earlier - the 2009 WC+RoF was released in August 2007 for example. The 2010WC was just sent to the people on the 2009 trips. My guess - and I have no information - is that it will be after the first of the next year. I hope I'm wrong. :)

We're hearing that the 2010 itineraries (other than WC) won't be out until mid-January.

Daniel said they have pushed release of the 2010 itineraries into mid January but shared some data.
The Mariner is scheduled to do Circle South America for 60 days in 3 segments. Normal itinerary but segments start in FLL, Lima & Buenos Aires. She'll do a couple of Carib runs and then head to the Med in mid March and then return to do the Discovery Cruise.
The Navigator will do a charter in Vancouver for the Olympics, have a 3 week drydock, run Alaska for awhile and then do Asia Pac. The Asia Pac will start with Anchorage to Shanghai and after Australia she'll skip NZ and head to Fiji & Hawaii and finish in San Fran.
Who knows how it'll all end up or what they'll charge.

Glad to see that they swapped Mariner and Navigator for the Summer/Fall. Will be interested to see new Mariner itineraries including Discovery Series. I really prefer Mariner but have already done Alaska and a major part of the Asia Pac.

Actually the FULL South America should be opening for booking any day - maybe today. The segments wont open for booking until January.
I will be putting the itineraries for the World Cruise and the South America cruise up on my web within the next two days.
The rest will follow in January.

Just got the preliminary information up for everyone. Not pretty but both the itineraries and pricing are shown on these pages. Big news is that all fares start for early booking at 2 for 1 and free air. Also unlimited included shore excursions across all these dates - some exclusions of course and details will be released later. The Lima to Rio South America is VERY interesting. It is a long segment and also goes down to Antarctica as far as Paradise Bay. No landing I am sure because of the size but that is a beautiful area of Antarctica. 2010 South America http://www.bkrssc.com/2010_Schedule_Mariner_South_America.htm 2010 World Cruise http://www.bkrssc.com/2010_World_Cruise_Voyager.htm

Ngaire, I just came here to ask about getting to go ashore on Deception Island and see that you have already answered the question.
Would South America trip be eligible for SSS and onboard booking discounts? Would Machu Pichu be one of the extra inclusions for full sailing passengers? How about Iguazu Falls?
thanks,

HI Marc:
With the Antarctica criteria for landings I highly doubt that any landings could be done from this large a ship. So I would not count on it at all.
It would be wonderful if there could be tender boat rides. If they would do a tender boat ride in Paradise Bay it would be lovely. However I am not sure this is allowed. I have no idea how large ships handle this at all and I am certainly not the authority on this issue.
Perhaps someone that has been there on one of the larger ships can advise us. Regent may not even know how they are going to handle this yet.
Yes, I can confirm that society savings and onboard bookings would be applicable to South America and the World Cruise.

I was pleasantly surprised to already receive brochures today from Regent for the Circle South America and the World Cruise for 2010. They indicate that Seven Seas Society Members have priority booking for the complete voyages through December 31, 2008.
Both look wonderful in print, now all we need is for the economy to start recovering.

The Paralympics end on March 21st. With a 3 week drydock (yeah!), that would put Navigator into Alaska around April 11th or so. Perhaps they'll throw in a quick Panama trip and return, or Mexican Riviera? Seems kind of early to go to Alaska. We're actually interested in this particular Alaska season, so will be interested to see what happens. It makes excellent sense to put Mariner in the Med for a while, however.

Just a suggestion. Silversea does a Canadian cruise every year. That may be a option for 2010.

To me it looks like the Navigator repositions to Alaska when it departs San Francisco May 26, 2010.

Gudrun (onboard Voyager) indicated that she was expecting the 2010 cruise calendar about the 10th...so we've made an appointment with her on the last full day of this cruise, the 11th. Assuming that 1) it is released on the 10th, and 2) Regent can get their web site working at least to the level of showing cruise listings, you might want to start checking in earnest around that time.

An update to my previous message: calendar wasn't out before we disembarked. Gudrun was saying on or about 20 January. We'll see.

It does not look like the Mariner or Voyager will be doing Australia, NZ in Oct or Nov. Does that mean that the Navigator will be taking over that area of the world since it is doing Alaska? Hoping to do a downunder cruise and land adventure in 2010.

OK, now the June-December 2010 cruise calendar is missing from the Regent web site. I might doubt my earlier report of it being posted if I weren't looking at a printout of a 10-day, 18-28 july cruise on the Voyager in the Baltic (printer the night of the 21st). I actually examined the monthly listings for every month from June through December and they were all there. But now they aren't. I guess you can chalk this up as well to "Regent is having computer problems."

Quick! Quick!...the full 2010 cruise list is back up on the Regent site. Maybe another tease or, perhaps, here to stay.
Think of this as a game(?)
