We will be disembarking the Voyager in Dover on June 19. We have a 5:00 pm flight out of Heathrow that day and would like a private transfer with a little sightseeing along the way since we have so much time before the flight. Does anyone have any recommendations for a transfer operator and an itinerary? (I am assuming 3 hours at most to the airport and want to get there at least 2 hours before the flight.)

Thanks for any and all ideas.
Merril

We have used this service in the past and found them to be fair and reliable. We went the other way from London to Dover, 104 miles and paid $399.00 dollars in 2006. There was a bus transfer offered from Victoria Station to Dover for about $350.00 thru Regent. You won't be diaspointed if you use them. Hope this helps

We used this service theat ngaire had found out about for a transfer from london to dover in 06. If you go to the port section and go to page two you will find it. They were great and prompt. Nice car and good driver. www.ickent.co.uk I have no idea what the price is now.

The company we used has been sold, so I can't make a recommendation, but what we did was have them drive us to Canterbury and leave us there for a few hours, sans luggage. Then meet us a fixed time and drive us to Heathrow. It worked out very nicely, we had lots of time to see the cathedral, stroll around town, do some shopping and have lunch.

Thanks everyone for the info. Canterbury sounds like a good option, and we will have time for lunch.
