Did I read somewhere that the Mainer
was doing a dry dock in April 2011?
If so has anybody heard anything about it?

Drydock was ~7 Apr - ~16 Apr; first pax boarded yesterday. So far, I haven't seen any reports from those onboard.

This was on my Facebook, you would think they would of gave more details ;)

"Seven Seas Mariner has emerged from dry dock with many new touches, including iPads for use onboard in all Penthouse Suites and higher!"

I don't have any specific details of everything they did, but I got these cool pictures from some of the crew who were working on the ship during dry dock:

Also, here's a couple of pictures of upgrades they did before we got off the ship ... New bedside reading lamps that actually work well enough to use for reading!

And also some new furniture/cushions along the hallway beside the coffee connection...

I am curious if the rumour I heard came to pass - that they were going to get rid of Stars, or at least make it much smaller...

Cindy, you are a treasure trove of pictures today! I love the new coffee corner table and chairs and seeing the Mariner in dry dock is cool as heck!

They are already on the Navigator. Loved them also and what a difference.

Cindy, neat photos, especially the one with the Mariner in dry dock as others have mentioned. Thanks for posting.

The furniture in the Mariner Lounge was replaced on January 11th. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures.

I'm pretty sure some number of suites were updated with showers but the deck plan on the Regent site lists some to be done next April (I assume in another dry dock after the SA cruise).

There is a roll call thread on CC. I hope someone there will post some photos.

I think the "new" deck plans - with effective date 2 april 2012 - are meant to show the "new" Concierge class and do show the re-grading of a lot of suites... the former (single) deck plan did reflect showers being installed instead of baths (ugh!) in many of the suites and that was to be effective 17 April this year. So I assume the showers are in place.

I started a thread on another site asking someone on board to report on the changes but so far, no answer. Either there are no CCers on board OR people are so dazzled by the changes they are not reading the boards!! Eventually someone will answer, I suppose.

The new chairs look really pretty.

Agree about the reading lights. We had the new ones on Navigator, and I could actually read a book!

We just got off an Oceania Insignia TA, and they have very similar reading lights in the Penthouse Suites. Yes, they work very well. Recall Oceania and Regent are owned by the same company.
