Received Regent's Voyages to Explore booklet yesterday. Noticed on page 141 under 2009 Air-Inclusive program they will now be charging an additional $199pp for the free air program for flights out of Austin. Why don't they stick with the program they had. This is Oceania's policy. Come on Regent can't you stand alone. Be your own cruise line and not become Oceania - I think you are going down the wrong path.

No Karen, there are very few cities now that do not have an add on cost. Some are $199 some are $299.

In Montana they make Great Falls the "Gateway City" and Billings by far is the largest busiest airport so we have to pay an extra $100 per person over what ever the extra charge is just to fly out of Billings. Bad enough we have to drive 145 miles to Billings, but can't imagine driving over 300 miles one way to Great Falls. I have emailed and written to Regent with no return comment. They did waive our Paul Gauguin extra charge in 2003, but that was because Ngaire helped and we had 10 people flying out of Billings.

Milwaukee is also excluded, but maybe because it is relatively close to Chicago. Is Austin near another airport?

I have another question regarding their included air- do they also add on the air taxes/ fees the same way Oceania does with their "Free" air?

Carolyn - it's probably because the Austin airport is smaller. You & Don could always drive to Houston or Dallas. Maria - I'm fairly certain the air taxes answer is yes. Better check with Ngaire to be absolutely sure.

I just went and pulled out my book and had a look and was amazed to see how many cities are listed as an additional price. Cities like Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas are in the $199.00 add on. Thankfully Toronto was not but if you fly out of Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Montreal or Honolulu it will be an extra $299.00 Gee sorry to see that Carolyn. That's an extra $400.00 for you and Don. Cruiseluv, I just got an invoice for air inclusive and yes the taxes and fuel charges were listed on the invoice Pat

Thanks Betty and Pat. I would imagine these taxes/fees vary depending on the itinerary.

Is this info on Regent website for those of us without this book? Does add-on price vary depending upon itinerary?

Actually the supplement for certain airports has been around for quite some time it is not new.
If you look in the 2009 Atlas that came out ages ago (maybe nearly a year ago, and may or may not have been before Apollo purchased Regent) they are all listed there as well.
Marcie, probably ANY 2009 brochure you have in the house will have this information in the back.
I do not book other cruise lines but was helping out Julie why she was gone and I saw the air fees and taxes on one of Seabourn's (I think it was Seabourn but may have been Silversea) free air specials. So I am not sure that this is all copying Oceania.
The air fees and taxes do vary a lot depending on the air itinerary and cities.
