Just got an e-mail from Regent - very good prices on 7 and 11 day cruises on Voyager and Navigator in the Caribbean this Nov-Dec. If you have friends who want to try Regent, this seems like an excellent opportunity, especially if you're from Florida or the SouthEast. The only negative I see is the final statement of conditions which includes: This offer expires July 1, 2007, is not combinable with any other promotion and is valid for NEW bookings only. We booked Navigator for November 26th. Couldn't resist that price. Ngaire is going to shoot me dead because I didn't see a cruise in our future, the due date was close, so I cancelled the onbard booking we were holding. But if it is for new bookings only, it probably wouldn't have "taken" with the transfer, anyway, so I'm cool.

Regent needs to wake up - THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS, CLIENTS, GUESTS, OR WHATEVER YOU CALL THEM. In my (not so) humble opinion, this is just one further example of the many changes in the way Regent deals with its clientele. Radisson built its superb reputation and loyal following on a unique set of characteristics: small ships, large suites, many/all balcony suites, open seating, wine and other libations with dinner, and bending over backwards to be more than fair to all. High end (i.e., ‘luxury’) providers are supposed to bend over backwards to be flexible, to meet clients’ wants and needs, but Regent has yet to learn that trick, or has forgotten. Premier outfits like Ritz Carlton push authority to ‘make things right’ as far down in the organization as possible, to chambermaids and bus boys. Regent seems to want to make sure no one can say yes, or fix a bad situation on the spot. Its a shame, a real travesty, IMHO. I just hope, pray even, they wake up before they ruin a truly great thing, for all of our sake.

We got in on the sale for December 14th on Voyager! Have never sailed on Regent before but have heard good things.
Loved SS and hope Regent can compare to that experience!

The only hesitation I've had with Regent is the mid-size ship as my sis and I so enjoyed the smaller number of pax.
On the Cruise Critic boards, we have been assured that the size will not cause any feelings of crowdedness while we're sailing on Voyager.
Couldn't pass up the great price to see places we haven't been before.
