My wife and I write murder mysteries for groups and have thought that it might be fun to write one for an LCT weekend murder mystery cruise. Hey, maybe even get a free cruise out of the deal. LOL I'm not sure of how we could actually do this, but am just thinking outloud right now.

So far the largest group that we have done was written for about 45. It was called Murder on the Mauretania and took place on a transatlantic crossing from New York to Southampton in May, 1934. Everybody participates and has a part. They even dressed up (well somewhat) according to their parts.

Is this of interest to anyone?

It would be a fun evening - we could do it on Mush and then we could all participate!

Actually, I was thinking of that. Try it out there first and see how it goes. That would be a great idea. It already looks like a pretty large group going.

Marcie, I'm not quite sure, but I'm sure that Ngaire could find out. If we had enough participate, we could possibly even charter one of the smaller ships, say like one of the SeaDream Yachts.

Cyndi, how does HIJINX on the HIGH SEAS sound??? Lets see, who do we kill off???

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

Marcie, I am sure that we will find the purrfect part for you! :D

Cyndi, thanks! I guess it is because this Saturday night we are doing another one that we wrote "Hijinx on the Hindenburg". I told Diana though that I thought it was about time that we stopped living (or dying for that matter) in the 1930's! LOL

How about the Chamber Maid?

Now killing the Chamber Maid is allowed. Maybe she used something other than Frette linens when changing the beds and somebody smothered her with a low thread count cotton pillow case!!! LOL

Boy is my face red!!! :o I think I was a little confused ( confused ) when I suggested the butler be killed. Of course, it is always the butler who is the one who kills! EVERYONE knows that! Does this mean I can't play anymore????

Like the idea of the Chamber Maid. Denise is right, Don. You ARE so very funny!!!! :D

Cyndi, you can play anytime. I been reading about the man overboard on the Crystal cruise, sounds like maybe some good material for our mystery. OK, did he fall or was he pushed? Maybe he was a chair hog, or he didn't dress up on formal night, or his gratuities weren't quite adequate! :D

Gil, if you kill off the butler, who else is going to wait on you, draw your bath, and seperate your blue socks from your black ones?

You know good help is so hard to find nowadays! :D

But, as we all well know, if this is to take place on a RSSC ship there will be (would be) many more butlers to take his place...

Or, are we to suppose WE are on a ship, but...the crime takes place elsewhere?

Naw...I like the crime taking place on OUR ship... Nothing like a captive audience...or an audience being held captive...MuuuhaaHaHa...

Does this involve actually being on a cruise ship?? With water under my bed?? For several nights?

Sounds good to me!

Reminds me of the Orient Express. What fun it would be on a great ship.

Would all be looking over their shoulder?

HMMMMMMM!
