We've only used Regent air once and it was on AA. I think I heard that they often use Star Alliance airlines ?? Anyone know which airlines they contract with for flights to Europe?

Everytime we've used Regent air, its been UA/LH on our trips, which is just fine with us. Using AA from IAD is a pain because you have to fly to New york, or Miami or Chicago and connect just to get to London.
It may have to do with where you are flying from Marcie, and what service each individual airline has from a given city.

Each of our Med cruises they used Lufthansa for the Transatlantic portion and United for the domestic portion. Once they did put us on a USAir flight from Athens to Philadelphia nonstop, but this was after the cancelled VIKING ordeal, so I pretty much got to pick our flights with the help of our tireless Wonder Woman, Susan Walsh.
I am hoping they put us on Lufthansa again for TUT - we love to fly them!

Me too Kristin. I don't care if it has a UA flight number, but I'd prefer "operated by LH" if its not LH flight number.

Aloha Marcie, Christina and I are booked on a crossing from FLL to Monte Carlo. We are using Regent air and they put us on LH all the way from Nice to Munch then on to SFO. What cruise are you looking at ? Our outside cat Gus had to have a little surgery but is doing fine now. John & Christina

John, what airline did they use to get you from Honolulu to FLL ?? I was curious about using Regent air on TUT in Oct. since we may need to save our f.f. miles for ROAR 3.
On ING in May we were on AA non-stop to JFK and then on Icelandic from JFK to Reykjavik. From Heathrow back to LAX we were on AA non-stop.

I get the feeling that they use Star Alliance but that it could change at any time, given circumstances - i.e., they could renegotiate better partnerships with more favorable rates.
To me, if you are going to use Regent air, it is imperative to have a knowledgeable TA such as B&K who has a solid relationship with Regent. We have been able to snag flights of our choosing on a couple different occasions, to which I largely credit Susan Walsh. One time our domestic schedule changed so that our layover was only going to be about an hour prior to an international flight. I paid attention and notified Susan right away. Bingo, we were put on an earlier flight, no questions asked, no change fee, nothing. If we had booked on our own I doubt that would have been the case.

Our friends used Regent Air last month for our Athens to Rome cruise. They are out of Miami. Regent had them on Air France from Miami to Athens and British Airways from Rome back to Miami.

Marcie Sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner BUT !
Well this the story. We are using Regent out of SFO R/T and our own air R/T HNL/SFO. Then Regent air from SFO to MIA, Regent put us on AA.
To explain; we do our own air to SFO so we can layover, in this case for 4 nights to see our kids and grand kids.
Regent will do air for us from HNL but add $300.pp ( HNL is NOT one of Regent's departure city's).This is a very good price but no layover. So for a little more we can do the stopover to see the kids. We decided to go into MIA instead of FLL because there is no non-stop to Fll from SFO. I got a rental car from Enterprise that we will take to FLL "overnight" then they will take us to the cruise port. So I think this works for us.
