We received an email this morning from Regent offering cash or future cruise credit if we cancelled our cruise. Seems like this is pretty late in the process to offer this, surely they had an idea of being overbooked some time ago. I know they count on some cancellations but we had asked about changing cabins 8 months ago and were told that the cruise was virtually sold out at that time. We might have cancelled if they had made the offer a few weeks ago but we are already travelling on our way to Montreal for the pre- cruise hotel stay. Do you think anyone will take the offer this close to the trip?

Noel, my guess is it may be tough to get people to cancel at this late hour especially since it is such a unique itinerary only during this time of year.

Regent sure did wait till the last minute to make you this offer.

Wow, sure is last minute. I didn't receive an email so I guess my cabin isn't in much demand. :(

A few weeks ago we might have entertained a buyout offer but the excitement has risen too far to think of taking an offer now.

We gave up our PH on Oceania this year for one cat lower and they paid us $2500. Worth it for a 12 day cruise!

Regent offered buyouts last year for DINGO on the Navigator pretty late in the game. It seems to me this happens much more frequently on the Navigator. No surprise since it's smaller.

Well we didn't get an offer either, but no way. Just did online check in for tomorrow's flight, we are good to go.

We bumped for Dingo. It was worth it for us. We are taking a replacement cruise in a couple weeks and we got an upgrade offer we accepted too for an Aft Corner Suite on Mariner. Will be awesome on the Med in that cabin. So excited.
