Hi Everyone.

We are here and enjoying the ship. We are taking it easy and haven't done much except eat and relax. We missed CruiseBill on Monday night. We waited at the bar for him and Marie, but had reservations at Latitudes at 7:15 (PROMPT!!!) and I guess they were late getting there.

Latitudes was wonderful--Indochine menu that we really enjoyed. We hope to get back before the cruise ends. We have reservations in Signatures, but may cancel them. Had dinner in Compass Rose last night, it was great, but no truffles. Don't worry, I found something else to hold me over until the truffles appear.

Lots of new merchandise in the boutique with just seven seas mariner on it. No RSSC, no lyre.

Thanks for all the good wishes for our son. He is doing well and we are greatful. Will report back, let me know if there is anything I can answer.

No internet service until today. Sorry. Thanks for the info about Bill and Marie. I'm so sorry to hear that they had to cancel. We had exchanged emails about family health concerns. I wish them the best at this time.

Mariner is a lovely ship. Our first time on her, so I can't compare to the past, but other than some wear and tear in our cabin, the public areas look fine to me. I hate to say it, but I think the service is stretched to the limit. The dining room staff is really stretched. No time to even inquire about our day. I miss that. But they are working so hard, I can't blame them for not being able to make small talk. Our cabin stewardess is doing a fine job, but again, it's different. Late, and I mean LATE afternoon before our room is done from the morning. Not complaing, just observing. It doesn't really affect us one way or another, we go with the flo, but it is a noticable difference from the past.


Donna, I think there is a charter between our cruise and yours. We leave on the 29th (I think, can't keep track of the time!!) But we will do our best to keep the Mariner functioning! haha

I can't believe it, but I got seasick on our first sea day. I have NEVER had that happen before. I even missed dinner and that never happens. The poor waitress in the Bistro (La Veranda) was trying everything to make me more comfortable, but it just didn't work. She thought it was because the motion was more side to side. Could be because it was really a smooth ride and I have been on the Navigator when she was really jumping and didn't feel ill at all. Feeling much better now and hope I don't miss anymore meals.

We are in Santo Tomas today. No shore excursions for us today. Just a nice relaxing day we hope.

Stay well Jacki! Can't imagine anything worse than seasickness! I guess many of the staff is different now than when we got off 10 days ago?? Have you gotten to know John and Lynsay or Louise? I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed (and now miss) such a great staff!
