Hello All Fellow Cruisers,

Just returned from a short 4 day cruise on the Diamond. After reading all the post's on this board, I had to try this ship.

What a wonderful cruise. A great Captain and a terrific crew.

As you all know the food was the best.

Smooth sailing and total relaxation!

Regards, JPar Judith

The Diamond really is rather special .... it's dining room is so good and gorgeous. The crew is so special.

We've only now to try the Navigator.

Sorry to say we missed "the hunk." Damn! I think we need to book the Diamond again to have a look-see for ourselves!

Any pictures of Giuseppe? ;)

Thanks, Karen. Two great looking guys!

I think I need to:

A) Book Diamond again to meet Giuseppe
B) Cruise again with John
C) Cruise on the Diamond with Giuseppe and John
D) All of the above

:D

Oh Denise...if you weren't so goo-goo over Alan you certainly would have noticed Guiseppe. :D

We were fortunate to be invited to dine with him one evening on DDD (The Kimmi's and someone else too...?? that will come to me?). Anyway, between Sheri giving me that "envious glare" :angel2: from the next table and me being so "star stuck" ...I had soup dribbling down my chin! :D To further complicate things, his beautiful, sweet fiance' Gerlinda dined with us as well. :)

I'm still not sure what Gerlinda meant when she said "Good night Mrs. Robinson" ?? confused

All kidding aside, he is a very nice, personable guy as is his fiance'.

What does Giuseppe do on the ship besides making women swoon?

Denise and I should be upset then that we merely dined with the Captain and the Engineer!!

Why didn't any of you LCTers warn us to look out for this guy? Denise, your research was not complete. <img border="0" alt="[c]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Sorry to disagree. But Guiseppe didn't do a thing for me. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Guiseppe is a nice guy and really does all he can to make the guests comfortable. He is good looking but he grows on you if you ever eat dinner with him or get to talk to him one on one you then like him even more.

He started running Don Vitos, then moved up to Assistant Cruise Director, then Cruise Director and now relief Hotel Manager when Fabrizio is on vacation. He has really moved up the ranks.

He went out of his way to ensure the DDD crowd has a good time and I think that is what made him even more appealing.

I've never sailed on the Diamond or met Guiseppe. How about Captain, Dag? My sister-in-law practically swoons over him. Especially the time he was lounging around the Song of Flower pool in his speedo!

Andi,

I was under the impression that checking out the ship's crew was your job.

Maybe someone should suggest to Radisson that they put together a Radisson Hot Crew Member calendar for 2006!

Okay...marking down in my "must do" book for when I am on Diamond on 1/13...."look up Guiseppe" (or maybe that should be "look at Guiseppe......"
And hey - all you former Diamod-eers... what night do you suggest I book Don Vito's for? And can I book it twice?

Joanna,
I agree with you. They make a nice looking couple but even more importantly I have found them to go out of their way to make sure guests were enjoying themselves and helping in anyway they could.

Bobbi, I would book Don Vitos for any day after the second nights dinner (assuming that will be your formal night)
I probably wouldn't want to go twice, it's just not the same as the first time since you will be repeating the same entertainment. Besides, you tend to drink too much and not feel so good the next morning :pass:

Dear All,

The Captain on the Diamond is Neil Broomhall. When I was onboard his jokes and warmth were much appreciated!

The Maitre D' Alessandro Peruzzo made my cruise even more special.Such a Gentleman.

When we were on the Diamond last summer, Jeremy Kingston was the captain. But Neil and his wife were on board as passengers! So I got to see them both in action, since it was somewhat of a busman's holiday for Captain Neil. It was the first time the Diamond was in the Black Sea, so there were all kinds of captainly concerns about ports, and navigation and such.

By the way, the open bridge on the Diamond was a really great bonus. The guys especially loved it. But watching the captain preparing to dock the boat, or talking to the bridge crew about what was going on was great. And that little docking bridge on the right side was neat. You got to watch Jeremy barking orders to the stevedores below!

My attorney and his wife did a Med cruise on the Dimond as is now hooked on cruising as a way of travel. I sent him a link to this site and perhaps he will join us.
