Country Club Casual= Polo's, sport shirts with
nice pair of slacks.
Informal= Sports Coat required but no tie required.
A lot of guys were the same as CCC and just put a coat on. Others do were a tie.
Formal= Tux or dark suit required.

Jan, don't know if you are asking for your husband or you. I have found that the ladies on RSSC seem to dress on "informal" night in anything from "sparkles" to "spare". The men have to have at least a jacket on, and on these nights, I have obsserved ties, if their spouses are more dressed up more. For the women, it is whatever suits your fancy. On Informal nights, I usually will usually wear a top (lightweight) that looks a little festive over black pants/skirt

CCC is a sweater and slacks (or sundress if in the tropical areas) or skirt - shirtsleeves and slacks for men; optional Jacket for men

Informal is a nice outfit you might wear to a really nice restaurant/theater/concert - Tie suggested but optional/sportcoat for men

Formal is going to a wedding - suit/TUX for men and cocktail dress or long dresses for women.

Personally, I wish they'd do away with "informal". It's that middle category of dressing for dinner, requiring dressy clothes that aren't quite formal, but you really can't where at any other time. I don't mind bringing the couple of formal gowns or dresses for formal night, in fact I'm one of those who love formal night. But having to cart a few dress-up outfits as well is just a hassle. The great thing about Country Club Casual is that you can wear your nicer casual clothes, ones that you can also wear at other times, such as for shore excursions or afternoon gatherings or whatever. Whereas for informal night, most women seemed to be in very nice cocktail-length dresses, which aren't really appropriate for much else! Just more baggage.

I confess that I wear pretty much the same thing for formal as for informal nights. So I don't differentiate to as fine a degree as George who wears a tux for formal nights, a regular jacket for informal and no jacket for casual.

I find that a good black outfit can work for all - just the accessories can change.

Chico's to the resuce!

Maybe I'm being too formal at informal. I've been bringing bascially cocktail dresses, which I can't wear anywhere else. I need to rethink this. With an upcoming 18-day cruise, I need to minimize packing, so if I can dress up and accessorize otherwise more casual attire to make it appropriate for informal, that's what I should do.
