Hi Cindy! When is it? I looked briefly at the website & didn't see it highlighted. Thanks, Anne

Just received the Mark Conroy letter, dated July 27, concerning this President's cruise. ( just shows you where we rate with RSSC) and looks really interesting. We have sailed on the Navigator, Mariner and the Voyager and had no problem with rough seas. However, the comments on Karen's post seem to "scream" stay away from the PG if it hits rough seas. I gather the trip from Australia to Papeete is a rough one from the tone of the comments.

Any further comments or recommendations. Thanks

FYI: My understanding is that the cruise is (or is close to being) sold out.

I just got the letter. I must say, I have received more mail from Radisson this week than I have all year! ;)

Even though you would have to brave the seas on the PG, I do think the itinerary is great.

The cruise is sold out and on a wait-list only basis at this point. Guess Mark is very popular.

Cheer up, we've never received the letter so even if it looked appealing to us we wouldn't have had a chance! Is that any way to treat loyal past passengers??

Is anyone on this board booked for this trip??? The last Tahiti cruise we took was on Renaissance, as you know now Oceania. We loved it, there is a great micro brewery right at the dock, and when we were there 5 years ago, we saw the PG and said Next time..........we had a nice little sail away party for the pg at that micro brewery. heaven on earth. i've checked, it is still there. 5 months and counting....

I just got my mailing dated July 27 also. I checked and it appears Grand Circle, the Paul Gauguin owner, sent out the brochure so Radisson doesn't know the specific mailing details.

This must be my mail from Radisson week :)

I just received the Antarctica 2006 brochure and even though I am sure I won't be doing that trip, the brochure is very nice.

It is a beautiful brochure isn't it? The beauty of it is that Antarctica truly does look like this also. If you haven't done it, you should try it someday. It is a great trip!

As for the PG and the sea between Sydney and Tahiti.... the crossing is fine except for the segment between Sydney and Noumea..... big wells you have to head into that are a result of the Australian land mass contacting the pacific current.....

Dan,
That would be quite a long bit of rough stuff wouldn't it??? we are really good about rocky seas, but not sure i've experienced anything quite like that.
