Update for the ALREADY BOOKED page on Regent's website.
Clients with a deposited booking will soon be able to go online to book and pay for their shore excursions in the Already Booked section. In the same section, your clients will also be able to:
- Make reservations for alternative dining venues (upon final payment) - Complete a Butler Request form (if applicable) - Download a Guest Information Form
The Already Booked section is in the final stages of testing and programming, and we anticipate to go “live†with this on Monday, March 2nd, 2009.

Ngaire, I don't like those words "Pay for their shore excursions in the Already Booked section." In the past, we have reserved our shore excursions online but did not have to pay until we were onboard and could use our shipboard credit. I am reading something into this that I should not or has there been a change in policy?

No idea Marc, you know as much as I do. I saw on cruise critic people wishing they could pay pay for them and know they were confirmed rather than just requested. There may be a choice. We will just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Thanks for the information. Many people have been told by Regent that "Already Booked" will go live today (2/13) or Monday (2/16). Unfortunately, this is giving people another reason to be disappointed with Regent.

Actually the information I received from Fort Lauderdale Corporate was a "TARGET DATE" was set of February 16th. That did not mean it would DEFINITELY be ready then. In fact I anticipated about early March.
Probably what has happened is people have called Regent and the reservations people hearing the "target date" repeated that date and this then turned into a "confirmed date" which honestly it never was a confirmed and officially announced date to my knowledge. Those Regent employees were all drowning in taking those reservations maybe they were trying to "will" this be up and running by February 16th.
This time they state a specific date of March 2 and this date I anticipate will be met.
I started getting emails tonight from Regent for me to forward to confirmed clients in this regard. There will be hundreds of these coming in so anyone expecting this email I should advise that I am going to let one of the girls do this on Monday. I have some big projects to complete this weekend.
Friday, February 13, 2009 IMPORTANT WEBSITE UPDATE
Dear Guest:
Thank you for booking with Regent Seven Seas Cruises. We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
We would like to provide you with an update on our re-designed website, and specifically the Already Booked section that will provide access to you (or your travel agent) to:
• Pre-book (and pay for) shore excursions • Make reservations for alternative dining venues • Complete a Butler Request form (if applicable) • Complete a Guest Information Form
This section is in the final stages of programming and testing, and we anticipate to go “live†with it on Monday, March 2, 2009.
Thank you for your patience.

Not much help for those of us leaving on Koala. Have to take our chances on dinner reservations once on board. Hopefully this won't be a problem.

Pammy, Don't worry too much about restaurant reservations. We boarded yesterday and had no trouble making reservations and this segment is the fullest with only around 500 guests. The Koala segment is supposed to have only around 350 guests and there will be plenty of open seats in restaurants. Jim

Can we pay for the advanced booking excursions with our (forgotten what they're called) on board credits? Ta. Lee

There are about 85 full cruisers on ROF. There are no more "segmenters", there are only "Full Cruisers" and "Cruisers." Travel Desk is now Destination Services, Hotel Manager is General Manager and reports directly to Corporate, not the Captain and Guest Relations is now Executive Concierge.
The Prime 7 is a great venue and definitely worth several visits because of the selections. If you order king crab legs ask for a half portion - 2 pounds of huge legs is a lot to put away in one setting.
On this segment they are doing 4 nights of "Dinner & Theater" and the entertainment is a tango show. The format is dinner in Signatures at 6:30 with a fixed menu and 2 mains chioces followed by the show in Horizon Lounge (which is closed for other guests.) Book it right away if it's available on Koala. Jim

Its 2 March, has anyone checked out the new "Already Booked" section of Regent's website?
...
...
...
It looks just like it has for last few months. :(
Does anyone know how I can check out my "nights" on SSS section of Regent's website? I can't find a link anymore.

Marc, go to the Member Benefits section, and then click on the "log on" link that is in the paragraph. I was amused at some of the descriptions of the cruises I've done. E.g., for SAMBA (Cape Town to Rio), it is described as Monte Carlo, Monaco to cruise the Amazon River.

It also surprises me a bit that with the whole conversion to a new computer system, they still don't have an integrated single sign-on system where customers can create their own login and password, and then access everything dealing with their travel -- like every airline or hotel site offers. Instead, it looks like SSS is separate (login by SSS number and zip code) from Already Booked (login by booking ID and last name). Already Booked was supposed to go live today, but as of noon Eastern time, we're still waiting... -- Eric

Olivia, I can't even log on; that must be why I haven't received a newsletter or brochure in a long time. I guess it is time to get on the phone with Regent. :(
Now, I have tried too many times to enter so I need to contact the "administrator;" I hope they speak English in Panama. ;)

Olivia, you're right...how funny. I logged in and it has cruises listed that we have NEVER been on. I guess the # of nights is correct (?? not sure of this either but the tier level is correct) but certainly not the itineraries.

I can't log in as none of my current or previous zip codes work :( I think I remember having to use the zip on the last SSS newsletter we got but I tried that zip or several others I have lived in in the past two years aren't working.

I just called Regent. My SSS number was changed yet again. :( Unfortunately, I am locked out and Regent Omaha couldn't help. I tried deleting cookies to no avail. Since I never put in correct SSS number, the problem is not on far end. Regent has put something other than a cookie on my computer to block me out. Any computer experts that can help me?

Marc,
I was also locked out a couple of days ago. I called Regent and they said the lock out would clear automatically in a few hours. I tried three hours later and the lock out was gone.

I tried Tom's log in and it didn't work either. I called Regent and they have assigned new SSS #'s for BOTH of us. I tried to log in with the new #'s they gave me but they have too many digits so this doesn't work either.
My itineraries (under old SS#) are funny...SAMBA is listed as Osaka to FLL.(could swear we boarded in Cape Town :D )Unbeknownst to me I made a trip from Seward, AK to Los Angeles in 7 days (must be MUSH Vancouver to Seward) and another trip from Seward, AK to Los Angeles in 19 days...(never did either but the 19 day one must be LAMB from Auckland to LA), lots of other mystery itineraries.

We must be lucky (or maybe they're working backwards in the alphabet to get this all correct). Anyway, our original SSS# works just fine to log in and all of our trips are the correct ones. I can predict the next problem, though. Since everyone is waiting anxiously for the "Already Booked" section to work, if it ever does come up, it'll probably crash when we all try to access it at the same time

OK am I the only one that when I go to member benefits section, all I see are the different tier levels and the amenities - I do not even see a place to log in or try to. Must mean I don't have a number now?????

Must mean I don't have a number now????? JoAnn, When I go to that section, I see the following sentences just above the description of the tiers: "Members now have the ability to update their profile and view their transaction history online. Click here to login, fill out your Travel Preference Survey and verify your tier level information." The phrase "Click here" is also underlined. When I click that phrase, I get to the login screen. Are you seeing the above language? Hope this helps.

Now I see it, I had to use the "click here" thingie. For the most part its right, we are at the right tier level, a couple of them look funny, like "Funchal to Funchal", or Seward to somewhere in stead of the Panama Canal, but overall it looks right, and our numbers worked. Thanks ladies.

Already Booked section is up!
Editing to say oops, we are only getting the same page as the test run we've already heard about, at least I did. Too early for me even to take a peek at the final excursion list for DRAGON. Please be aware that online Shore Excursion reservations are only available beginning with the following cruises: Seven Seas Navigator May 10, 2009 Seven Seas Mariner May 27, 2009 Seven Seas Voyager May 8, 2009 Paul Gauguin June 6, 2009

It is up but has prices for all my excursions; they are supposed to be FREE!
Also, I can't find a way to have a page like the old "my cruises" which always showed all of my bookings. It looks like you have to sign in to each cruise separately each time.

It also doesn't have online Guest Information completion - just a link to a PDF form - guess we'll need to fill out by hand and fax it. We wouldn't need to do this, except our address has changed. My docs need to get to the right place! ;)

My SS number worked. The listing was almost correct. It had LAMB at 18 nights not the correct 19. This was fixed once before a year or so ago. The computer uses a calendar which does not recognize that one crosses the international date line on that cruise so a day is repeated. I sent in another email to ask for correction. Not a big deal as Carol and I are in Gold either way but I think it should be correct. Might make a differance some day.
Karen saw your cabin. You are just down the hall from Carol and I in 721. Only a week and we are on the plane to FLA. Really looking forward to it.

Does anybody know if there's a place to book the specialty restaurants online?? I don't see anything under already booked. Also, when I tried to book a couple excursions for the May 8 cruise (no free excursions on this one :( ) it says no excursions are available at this time. Guess it's not quite ready for prime time yet.

Well, I got into the Already Booked section for my May 1, 2009 cruise, but the site said that no excursions have been finalized for each port. That means that, 8 weeks out, I still can't sign up for anything. I am frustrated to say the least.

Shore Excursions may be reserved online up until seven days prior to the start of the cruise. To begin, select a port of call from the drop down menu below and select your desired excursions. In order to allow every guest the opportunity to book shore excursions for each day of their cruise, only one (1) shore excursion per day can be booked in advance of sailing. Once on board you will have the opportunity to add additional desired excursions, based on availability.
Please be aware that online Shore Excursion reservations are only available beginning with the following cruises: Seven Seas Navigator May 10, 2009 Seven Seas Mariner May 27, 2009 Seven Seas Voyager May 8, 2009 Paul Gauguin June 6, 2009
I just wished it allowed more than one excursion per day. When in St Petersburg, we are going to want to go out during day and evening. I guess I will ask Ngaire which one I should book. :) Also, site does not say that you actually have to pay at time of booking. While Baltic tours are identified (with some not free), I cannot back to Navigator excursions even when I put in the Navigator info; i.e., the summary comes up for Navigator but all the ports and excursions are Voyager. :( I think this not ready for prime time. :D

Peggy, just like in the past, you can only book restaurant reservations 28 days in advance of your cruise. Only excursions are available 120 days out. I just booked excursions for us and my parents, with no (apparent) problems, for our June 3 cruise. The Regent web site didn't show any sign of being slow or overloaded with people trying to use it. The only thing I found a little odd is that the checkout page where you pay for excursions isn't pre-populated with any data -- you have to type your name and address in addition to the credit card information, even though they clearly have the address on file. Not a big deal by any means; it just struck me as less refined than most e-commerce/online buying web sites. Add to that the PDF-only Guest information form, the separate login to the SSS page, and it just seems to lack the polish one would have hoped for after months of development. I'd hope improvements in some of these areas are planned for the future, after they concentrated on getting the basic booking engine operational. My one complaint with booking the online excursions today was the policy limiting people to advance booking only one excursion per day in port. On this first trip to Alaska, we very much wanted to do a whale watch and a helicopter flight to a glacier, and the best place to do both of those is Juneau -- but although the times readily permits both, I had to choose one. Since both of these have limited capacity, I'm assuming the one I didn't choose will be sold out by the time we board the ship three months from now; I hope I'm wrong. I might see limiting people to one free excursion per day for advance booking, but when we're choosing excursions we have to pay for, it would be better if they let people choose more than one. Oh well, I 'm resigned to the fact that this policy isn't likely to change anytime soon; maybe they'll modify it in time for the free excursions on 2010 cruises. -- Eric

I'd like to be able to see the normal trip pages when I go to "already booked", as before, itinerary, fares, excursions, onboard activity summary, hotel programs.
And for my Rio trip (it needs a name, I should pick an acronym for myself!), there are no excursions available yet at all, whereas there are excursions listed in the normal place when I hunt for the trip. I understand that this is under the disclaimer "offered in the past", but...I used to visit "my cruises" frequently just to see if anything has changed.
I agree, not ready for primetime yet. But getting there I guess.

Well duh! Thanks, Eric, I'd forgotten about the 28 day thing. But still, they don't have excursions available for selection for the May 8 cruise even though they say they do. That's odd because the excursions are all listed for that cruise elsewhere on the website. Oh well, I guess I'll put on my patience hat and just keep checking
