Fellow cruisers: We are looking at our second Regent cruise, to the western Caribbean.

How does Navigator measure up compared to Voyager, (which we liked very much)?

It's a smaller version.

Also only has Prime 7, CR and LV, does not have Signatures. Also does not have an observation lounge, only Galileos, Stars and a very small Navigator Lounge.

Cruiser and JoAnn, Thanks! Sounds good but we'll miss Signatures and the Observation Lounge

We too miss the Observation lounge when on Navigator, its one of our favorite places on Voyager and Mariner. But its a nice ship and the staff and crew are great and you will enjoy it I'm sure.

The rooms with balconies are equivalent to the Voyager. I think they are nicer than the basic Mariner rooms. On another positive note, you don't get lost!

But the ship has no central walkway so people can miss each other if they walk the wrong way. You can be on the ship, meet someone and never see them again.

It is smaller and therefore I feel you see more of everyone than on the others. You basically always end up in the center or the dining room!LOL
Have a great time. she is lovely.

Before we did our first Navigator cruise last year I was worried about the size of the ship. Ngaire reassured me, and once I was on board I knew she was right!

Navigator is a very nice, intimate ship. The "ordinary" suites are much better than those on Mariner (they have shower and bath, and are larger). We had been warned about rolling in rough seas and vibration problems, and this was before the drydock. But we only had one night of bad weather (in the Golfe de Lion, which is almost always rough) and although she did roll, it wasn't too bad. There was a bit - quite a bit - of vibration in the theatre from time to time but I understand this is now reduced.
We are on her 7th Jan for 10 days and I am looking forward to it!!
