You asked for questions...I'm just the girl who can give them to you!

1) Are there irons in the laundry rooms or available to borrow for your room?

2) Are there specialty coffees for free?

3) Does dinner in Compass Rose not start until 7? Are there other options for a young family with a child for food at an earlier hour...say 6?
(other than room service)
4) Has anyone been to the Botanical Gardens in Bermuda recently? I toured them in 1996 and found them amazing(with a guide for free. Don't know how they have survived hurricanes in years passed and haven't seen one person on this board mention them.

Thanks in advance. Enjoying all the good info you all provide.

Morning tennispretzel. I am certainly no RSSC expert but I can answer your 4 questions.
1. Yes there are two irons and ironing boards in the laundry rooms.
2. There is no extra charge for the specialty coffees, they are free.
3. Our Giants Select Host tour drove us through the botanical gardens. They are beautiful but you could see where several trees had been sheered off by the hurricane. You'll probably notice a difference from your last trip.
4. Unfortunately none of the restaurants open before 7:00 p.m. but you can check the pool area as usually there were pre dinner canapes and snacks being served out there.

Tennispretzel - In addition to what Pat told you, if your child is not napping at teatime (4:00 pm), that is another place to find snacks. Or, one of you could go and bring something back to the cabin.

Or order room service, the menu is fairly extensive. You cannot bring the irons back to your room you need to use them in the laundry room.

The speciality coffees are free as long as you dont mean alcoholic speciality coffees these are free at the dinner table but not elsewhere on the ship. I have never actually ordered one but I fairly certain they would be free at dinner. Normal after dinner drinks are free, so coffee with liquor in should be the same thing.

The botanical gardens are pretty devasted from the Hurriance I can only imagine how pretty they used to be.

Look at you JoAnna see you are an expert on the Diamond now and soon to be on the Voyager and the Mariner. Amazing when you think not that long ago you were tossing around whether to even cruise. By the way I love that picture of you.

Thank you all!
I have read the Navigator book cover to cover, watched the video...I AM READY TO GO!!

Dreaming of all this great food, specialty coffees, chocoholic desserts...knowing that when I get there, there just is no room to "fit it all in" and too much means many more laps around the deck.
