The docs for Ninja just arrived--now it's time to get serious about this trip. What's the latest on everyone's pre-cruise arrangements? Has anyone booked any pre cruise tours in Reykjavik? I've done a lot of research, but haven't booked anything except the hotel. We leave for Reykjavik three weeks from yesterday--the 21st. See all you Ninja cruisers soon. :app: :app: :app:

Boo-hoo! :mecry: :mecry: I didn't get mine today! Maybe they are at the office. I had to leave to make a run to the county court house this afternoon, and Airborne that my TA uses is famous for late delivery here.

Peggy, I haven't done a bit of planning for our one pre-cruise day after we arrive at 6:00 a.m. Hoping to see how we feel. I would love to do parts of that Grand Circle thing by rental car. Have done some on-line booking of excursions for the beginning part of the cruise, but not much else.

Betty, how far is that spot from Rekyjavik? There was also the geyser, and waterfall as I remember being the high spots, but all in different directions.

Peggy,

It looks like you're the first one!!!! Ngaire's office told me yesterday mine will arrive tomorrow, but in your honor I'm already dancing <img border="0" alt="[hula]" title="" src="graemlins/hula.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hula]" title="" src="graemlins/hula.gif" />

As you know we are arriving on 6/25 and Bob wants to do the Golden Circle which is all day  . I think this is the one that goes to the Geyser, waterfalls, etc. With all that humidity, you'll be able to recognize me as the woman with the really frizzy hair :( !

Rrom the (a) Reykjavik website...

The Blue Lagoon is just a few minutes from the Leifur Eiriksson International Airport at Keflavik, is a highly popular destination with visitors to Iceland. Mineral-rich hot water from far beneath the earth forms the spectacular man-made lagoon, where a luxurious health spa has been developed in the rugged lava landscape.

The Blue Lagoon is accessible by bus from Reykjavik, and is also included on many organised bus tours. Many visitors stop for a dip in the Blue Lagoon immediately on arrival at the airport, or just before departure.

This is where i lifted it from...

THanks Robert,

That looks more tempting that riding all day in a bus! Now, the issue would be what to do with the suitcases?
I guess I would still get the frizzy hair!

:( Don't cry Olivia and Maria, your docs will come tomorrow. I'm sure we got ours today because we're just down the road from Ngaire--Fed Ex doesn't even need to put them on a plane.

You guys are so funny with all the dancers! It was all I could do to bring up instant gremlins! Oh, to be so cyber-challenged. I hate it, but love all your dancers!

Can't see Masaki's updated version :(

Olivia, I'm also very technologically challenged. I would love to know how to "import" all those dancing things or different pictures but I'm not even going to try!

Drats! None today for me. It will not be coming from B&K, so I have e-mailed the other TA. I usually get them 3 weeks to the day before.

But I did have two false alarms! A package appeared from a non-Fed Ex carrier, and I didn't even look at the return adress, before tearing into the box, only to find a jacket from Nordstrom that I had altered. Then went to my PO Box, and saw a big Priority package inside....a proxy thing from AT&T! Maybe tomorrow....

Olivia,

I'm sure you'll get it tomorrow. I was glad to see they included plenty of lugagge tags , I'm going to need them.

Also, noticed that there will be three formal nights  I guess I better go back to the mall and see if I find something else or raid my sister's closet ;)

Raid your sister's closet unless you do lots of formal things at home is my suggestion. Who knows, you might even want to eat "in" one of those nights. I had a feeling it would be three. That is the norm for 14 day European. I find that my "formal" outfits take up less or same packing bulk. I mix match tops and bottoms with all levels of dress, so it is not a problem to me what they require. I always overpack anyway! To me, if it is all checked anyway, what's the difference?

Olivia,

I usually feel the same way and my packing system is that I pack and pack until the suitcase(s) can't take anything else. But in this cruise ,with my side trip to Spain, space is at a premium!

Oh, I forgot about that Spain trip. Well, maybe your "informal dress" aboard will be on the more casual end! Worry not, people will never remember whether you have worn the same thing, and if so, they are not worth worrying about! Laundry is free, and drycleaning is both quick and within the price range at home.

Maria - my hula picture was probably off-line at the time that you looked at it. Is it showing up now? It is for me ...
