I'll chime in too...I seem to recall I read somewhere (may have been on the official Regent news announcement) that the Mariner is getting refurbed this April 06 but when you see the calendar I don't see any drydock scheduled...any idea? I'll be totally stoked if for our May 24 06 cruise she's been refurbed!!
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

From the press release:
"Physical changes on board the ships will commence with the Seven Seas Mariner on April 18 in San Francisco."
The ship leaves that day (I think) for 26 or so days in the Pacific/South Pacific. Doesn't make sense.

They do work at night while the passengers are sleeping in the common areas like theater, dining room, lounges and change out stateroom goods during the turnaround

I have been advised by Regent UK that the stack will be repainted on the 18 April,and that there will be a celebration(?).
It is the intention that other work will be carried out on turn around days.
We shall see!

What do they do with the etched glass doors to Compass Rose etc? Replace them?
