Has anyone here gone to the Intercontinental to use their motu transfer in Moorea?

Any other suggestions to enjoy a beach in Moorea? In past trips I used the Sofitel facilities at recommended by the PG but none of the recent cruisers seem to remember the PG recommending any hotel facilities.

Only two weeks left ......and docs are now in

I know that some PG cruisers in the past have used the beach at the Sheraton. I don't have personal experience.

My wife and i went to the intercontinental for swimming with dolphins and had a great time. It's a great place. You should ask a taxi to take you up to belevedere look out, from there you can see both bays and such a dramatic view!! It's worth it. Have a great time.

Nathan, it is my third trip on the PG. In the past I have been to the usual tours, belvedere 4x4 etc. This time I just want to enjoy motus and beaches .

Miriam - how nice to be going on the PG for your third trip! I expect that you've read that the Sofitel has finished their remodeling and has reopened. I'm sure that their beach is still considered the prettiest one on Moorea. Sorry that I don't have any information on the IC motu transfer. Have you tried going over to www.tahiti-explorer to ask the question there? There are many people on that board who are experts for all the information on those islands.

Have fun and a very happy new year.

Miriam,

We took the motu transfer from the Intercontinental. We decided to stay there after our waverunner excursion. I think it was $10.00 a person. My husband and I had a great lunch on the motu and some nice snorkeling. Ernie's brother (Ernie was the gentleman who ran the tenders back and forth on the PG)was our driver and took as back to the tender drop off when we were ready.
