Jim, I like your confidence. New Year's segment is waitlisted; Christmas segment still has room including the Regent Suite. I figure when Explorer gets cancelled we might get some moving to join us on that first segment.

We decided to make airline reservations today; flying in and out of Ft Lauderdale instead of Miami. I am sure hoping this sails from Miami.

Glad to hear that Marc. I find it hard to believe that Florida & CDC can't figure something out by the time we cruise.
Just ridiculous how common sense fails sometimes.

If Florida still won't let companies require vaccination, maybe we'll be sailing out of Nassau instead.

Hopefully Freeport instead; can take the ferry from Fort Lauderdale.

Additional excursions/wait lists added for Antigua (including Lobster and Champagne catamaran) and St Barts.

Thanks for the update Marc. I might give them a call tomorrow and change our Antigua excursion.

Think positive?!?! Did you read text of NCLH suit against State of Florida? Everyone else has found a reasonable workaround but Del Rio is so hard headed that he wants to win in court. He has already sold his expensive Miami house so he is ready to move NCLH headquarters out of Florida; he is as stubborn as Elon Musk.

I was 99% certain our cruise would proceed as planned; now I am down to around 85%.

Marc, I think the cruise will happen, but I haven't made flight plans in case we sail from another port. I'm in no matter where we embark. Just hope it isn't New York.

Winter Park to Miami isn't really a flight.

Regent left 36 hours after the end of their transatlantic on both Splendor and Explorer before leaving on their first cruise from Florida. That allows them around 24-30 hours to transit to a different embarkation port if needed. Only real choices are Bahamas, Charleston, or Havana. I don't think they can make San Juan, Mobile, or New Orleans in that time.

I agree our cruise will happen; I just wish del rio would fall n line with his competitors. Arnold Donald was a classmate of mine in grad school and I have always respected Richard Fain; both of them seem to be getting back to cruising.

Sunday August 1st. Anyone joining us on this cruise??

Lots of space on first segment 17-27 December including twenty F2 cabins. Cruising over Christmas is a lot of fun on Regent, this will be our fourth Christmas cruise and third of last five years.

Too many grand babies now to do that, plus December is traditionally my most busy month of the year. As a surgeon, I eat what I kill so to speak, so can’t take off when demand is high.

Wondering who else will be joining us on this cruise since it has been a long time since anyone added their name.

Saturday we booked our dinner reservations. Found it interesting that we were able to get every day and time we wanted.

Well well. That mistake on me makes me very happy now to know you will be on board.

Friday Jan was on the Wal-Mart web site ordering a prescription and noticed that their pharmacy would start giving Covid booster shots
beginning today, ( Monday), and you could make your appointment on line which she did.
Scheduled for 11 am and 11:20 am, but when we got there the pharmacy had just found out about it at 10 am and were not close to giving the shots.
So they rescheduled us for 3 pm and 3:20 pm. Got there a little early because they said we had paperwork to fill out, but Jan had done it all on line
so we both got our shots, waited 15 minutes as required, and were home by 3:30. Yippee. we both have now had 2 & 1/2 Covid shots. Which makes us way more comfortable.
Covid cards are filled out completely and we are ready to sail!!

We got our boosters at 6.00 pm tonight at CVS. Ken booked an appointment this afternoon we surprised we got in so quickly. Happy to have that additional shot.

UPDATE neither one of us have had any side affects and even the shot site is not sore.

I thought I was going to get away without any side affects, but about 11 am Tuesday morning I got the chills, and ache joints so took a nap for a couple of hours.
I am perfectly fine now.

We drive to Billings 12/14/2021 and fly 12/15/2021 United 7:30 am DEN to IAH to MIA arriving 5:45 pm

12/16/2021 at 11:30 am reservations with Miami Tour Company Boat Tour in Miami with a free drink.
Only a few blocks from our hotel which is great.
12/17/2021 Go to the Seven Seas Splendor when we receive our scheduled embarkation time. ??

Jim, we fly on 16 Dec AUS - ATL - FLL getting in after midnight. Regent is picking us up at 1130 on the 17th so we hope we are onboard by 1230 or 1300. We are so looking forward to seeing everyone onboard.

Yes, we lost our sunset in Key West.

If you don't have to rush to dinner you can get a better view from the walking deck.

There is no sunset better than sitting in a bar in Mallory Square.

I have been corresponding with a few people on Face book, and Cruise Critic that will be on this cruise.
Hopefully we will get to meet some of them.

Well we received our documents package today from Regent
Now to take care of all the requirements they need before boarding.
