Marcie that must be the WORST flight I have ever heard about and over the years I have heard so many stories. Cannot even imagine that experience.

I just looked at www.windy.com the best website for weather that Sheila found. Right now not so good - but looks like a nice window when we leave Ushuaia and sail to South Georgia. Only out as far as January 6 right now but looking at what is moving over towards that area the wave conditions between Ushuaia and South Georgia look promising at this time. Once you get to Antarctica the weather is always pretty nice but South Georgia is the highlight so good conditions there make it very special.
