Qatar starts a great business class 2 for 1 round trip fare today. If you can use its a great price.

Dang, wish I would have known that was coming. We already got our tickets for July trip to So. Africa.

Ken wanted to wait but I wanted to book. Really for a safari you have to book way ahead as we cannot book the domestic air until all international is in place. ^Those flights to the bush get booked up way in advance as there is only one flight a day from CPT and two from JNB but they always sell out. Had problems in the past with those flights being full.

I have not looked at it to see if they actually raised prices before the 50% off - airlines, cruise lines they all do this nonsense. I think we got 40% off when we booked so may not be much difference. At least that is what I am telling myself!

Ngaire, Emirates flies to CPT via Dubai and they are as good or better than Qatar. That way you don't have any domestic US flights. Regent used them for us from Orlando to CPT.

I love the schedule from DFW. We fly on Qatar all the way no domestic airlines. DFW nonstop to DOHA. Flight leaves DFW early evening arrives in Doha around 5.00 pm.

We love Doha airport we have an Italian restaurant we love for dinner in the terminal. Spend the night in the Doha Airport hotel in the gate area inside security. We are frequent guests at the Doha hotel and always get upgraded.

The flight from Doha to JNB departs around 8.00 am in the morning and arrives around 3.00 pm perfect check in time for the hotel in JNB.

I am not exhausted when I get there. Good nights sleep with no transfers or shuttles to deal with. SO EASY. Love the planes, food pretty good, service excellent.

I checked Emirates but do not like the schedules. I am a pretty died in the wool Qatar fan.

We checked the fares today and the fares we paid when we purchased on another sale some months back. Fare almost identical.

All 10 of our family has air using KLM and AF. Fingers crossed we're A-ok for the domestic flights within So Africa with no surprises. So happy you & Ken were able to get Qatar on a direct flight !!
