I saw this on CC, new doc holders to replace the ringed notebook. I think I like that you can reuse it for a tablet! New doc holder post on CC

I think Regent wastes too much time re-thinking their document holders. I've been going through the condo shelf-by-shelf, and I have thrown away so many cruise document holders, I lost count.
What I really don't like is that Regent stopped providing the little booklets with all the excursions listed for your cruise with description. We had to wait until we were on the ship until we had a hard copy. (I realize that you can bring along an electronic copy, but sometimes a hard copy is handier.) On almost every cruise we've taken, we have made adjustments to the pre-selected cruises for one reason or another.

I am glad they redesigned them this time, those ringed binders where too big. Eugene, instead of throwing them away, include them when you donate your clothes you no longer wear. Even though we accumulate so many of them, I am sure people would complain if they sent just the docs!

Instead of throwing them away, include them when you donate your clothes you no longer wear. I've been donating mine for awhile now. I do keep at least one doc holder from Silversea and use them for non-cruise trips. Their's are zippered and have nice compartments for documents, FF cards, etc.

That does look pretty impressive & I have a tablet. What's disappointing to me is that only Feb 2013 and forward will receive this (until Regent changes it again LOL)
I wish they'd had the foresight to begin distribution of this for cruises beginning in January. We leave for Sydney tomorrow. The "docs" we received didn't inspire much of a doc dance at all :( No binder. No bag. No luggage tag holders. No transfers or vouchers. Just a typical promotional-mailer magazine with our cruise itinerary, flight itinerary, and shore excursions (without times or descriptions) slapped on the first 3 pages. The rest of the magazine is same 'ole, same 'ole description of the ship, non-specific info about onboard activities, a listing of only the concierge excursions, and the usual terms and conditions. OH - and 6 thin, folding stickers to attach to the luggage upon arrival so it can be delivered to the suite.
For what we're paying to travel Sydney to Singapore, the excitement usually caused by getting the docs was non-existent here. I think my disappointment is pretty obvious. The whole thing looks tacky.
So - long way to throw in my 2 cents about the greatness of the redesign. No sour grapes, mind you! We're tickled to be on the cruise period. Just wish we'd been able to enjoy a doc dance.
Will try to post seamail as often as I can. Those who've read mine previously know I'm pretty long winded LOL
Cheers! Ash

I got my docs for my cruise in the new doc holder. I think it's my favorite one of late as it serves a purpose other than storing docs. I will probably still use my leather Song of Flower one as it's great for holding credit cards and it's actual leather with a snap so nothing falls out I also like the hard rigid luggage tags, those pleather ones ripped off the luggage more times than not. The color is more true to the second photo, it's a blackish brown color. ![[Linked Image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/iamtribble/New%20album/docs2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/iamtribble/New%20album/docs1.jpg)
