Could someone give me an idea of how much it will cost to take
a taxi from the airport to our hotel?
Reason I ask is checked into car service.
Will be waiting for us at the airport and if I book on line
and do round trip the price was $67.50 each way, plus automatic 20% tip.
Like this idea but was wondering how that compared to a taxi.

It should cost about $65 - $70 each way in a taxi and you have to tip and taxis are not always that readily available. So about the same price that sounds like a good plan. Share that company on line so others can do the same thing.

The company I got the price quote from is, www.carservice.DFW.comI went back and looked again at the price quote and noticed that it also showed Royal Limousine Service at the top of the page. Looks like you can also go directly to them and get a price quote if you prefer to do that.

As an alternative, this is the company we always use to get to and from the airport. Not sure what they charge to get to Stonebriar, but it looks like they give a discount for first time customers which would be most of you: http://www.x-quizit.com/rates.asp

A while ago, I called the hotel. They told me that a taxi would run $50 give or take (plus tip, of course.) So, we are renting a car. It came out less and added flexibility to our trip. The car came to $86.43 for Friday noon to Sunday afternoon. I used Hotwire (which is now a partner with http://www.shelterdoggies.com), but there are so many places to find good deals. We decided to go directly to Royal Limousine Service
and booked round trip with them.

Hi everyone,
I just got a quote from a transportation company, American Star from DFW - Westin Hotel in Frisco, TX - - one way $60 plus $5 toll. Any one in Texas familiar with this company ?
We are arriving at 940 A.M. on AA Flight 861 on Friday the 19th. Any one coming in around that time ??

Rod - thanks for the info. We have a ride to the hotel, but are checking into one back to the airport on Monday morning. What time do you leave? We have an 11:00 flight on Monday, AA.
Anyone heading out around that time on Monday? Maybe we could share a car/limo back to DFW.

Tom and I arrive at DFW @ 12:30pm tomorrow (American Airlines). Does anyone want to share a taxi or limo to the Westin ?
We'll only have small carry on so space shouldn't be an issue.
How about the return on Monday for a 11:30am DFW departure?

Marcie - we have an 11:00 flight on Monday AA as well, want to double up for a cab or we can book a car thru the hotel for around 60-70 they told me. We would have to be there a little earlier than you, but there is the Admirals club, which I'm sure you belong to, but if not, we will get you in.
We arrive with Tom and Mona at 1:15 and Tom has a car we are sharing, but they don't leave on Monday till several hours after us.

Teresa & I arriving 9:00 am friday, AA, no connections and leaving monday 6:30 pm. Teresa booked flight, Priceline, good price. Will share ride to hotel if anyone is arriving that early.

So happy JoAnn & I have things worked out for the 4 of us on Monday. I got a quote from DFW to Westin tomorrow in a town car. with the company Jim told us about. Dare I ask how much the airport and road tolls are ? "The quote is $59.00 and airport/road tolls (driver’s gratuity is appreciated). "Suzie...the bar opens the minute you and Theresa walk in  we can't wait to see you.
