Wow! Cruise Critic Radisson section has slowed down and almost no members on the board right now!

I went over to see what's happening and the page isn't loading...something is really slowing things down there.

Oh...one other question, probably for John...I thought I added my countdown clock to my signature, but it's not appearing - did I do it wrong, or is that something that won't "work" here?

I can live without it, just curious.

I was wondering about the kicked off part. I searched today and noticed your last post was sometime last week. Now this all makes sense. Sorry to hear you were kicked off cc. Are you still in AZ? If so, how's the weather?

Weather is high 60s and blue skies days...30's nights. Yup, still in AZ..leaving Friday for NY...will be able to sleep in the same bed as Doug for 2 nights and leaving for Switzerland on Sunday PM. Won't be back until earliest...dare I hope....April? I should know in a few weeks if Doug and I can make Las Vegas. I miss you guys. Whatever happens, Doug and I plan to be on the 2005 trip with all of you.

Chip I know! I was just in Tokyo for 3 days! 42 during the day and low 30's at night.....the funny thing is that we were not planning to stay in Tokyo because we were going to Thailand.....so we had to buy some winter clothes! We saw Tokyo Disney - that was fun....but cold! Take care Chip.

Margo: without rehashing all of this again I want to comment about your quote "spawned from a group that posts outside of CC". The group in question consists of 13 ladies. Only three of those ladies were posting on CC about feeling invisible. The rest could care less. I tried to make this point on CC and I also told our members to complain in their own names and to not invoke the name of the group as the group had nothing to do with it. So please dear lady stop linking what happened to our group.

I did not identify a group as started those posts - but someone did seem to make it clear that the sentiment was spoken about on that board. Frankly, the topic always seemed unfair and caused the Radisson board some unfortunate moments.

You're right in suggesting that if anyone has a complaint, they should make it in their name, not as a representative of others. I appreciate that and I know Eva brought the topic to our attention originally. We all tried to be positive in our responses. You know the rest.

Margo: please don't misunderstand, I was not suggesting that you identified the group as having started the subject on CC. Not at all. I was asking you to stop branding the entire group with the same action as you seemed to be doing on this new board with your post "spawned from"..... as it simply is not true. It would be like me posting on CC that all the members of Luxury Cruise Talk hate pink elephants when only 3 members feel that way. That's all. Nothing more nothing less. I do agree that the post in question caused much trouble for the Rad board and this was unfortunate how it turned out. The poster should not have mentioned our group in her thread as it made it sound like the entire group of ladies agreed with her sentiments and this is simply not true......only the few that posted. I can only speak for myself here but I was not happy that our group had been linked to this mess as I personally do not feel that way. I'm sure that there will be others of this group registering here in time and I know that they don't feel that way also so I am just trying to clear up the misconception that we are all feeling invisible and that there was this grand discussion happening on our website. I also need to mention that our website is exclusive for the simple reason that there is a lot of personal information loaded there that no wants just anyone to have access to.......not because we are busy wagging our tongues. For example: My complete house address, my anniversary date, my birthdate, personal posts about my father's illness and passing, my husband's illness and hospital stay, my kid's totalling my car... stuff like that. We are all pretty comfortable knowing that all of this info stays within the group and would not be passed around and just helps us all to get to know one another better before our cruise. Others have posted in detail about their own past illnesses and even current battles they are facing so that is why our group is private and exclusive. We post private things about ourselves that we don't want or think should be on a public board. The girls now realize that they should post in their own names and that it was incorrect to mention our group name in their thread on CC as it implied we were all of the same school of thought. So please give the rest of these ladies a chance and a break.....don't paint them all with the same brush before they even register here and that is the only point I am trying to drive home. Pat...please, I didn't intend to offend! And I don't think I painted anyone with anything. My post was perhaps unfortunate but only an observation of how things started, not an indictment of anyone or any group.

The entire incident brought forth a wonderful result - we have another place to talk about cruising. It's really now a win-win for all!

Well I'm happy to say my instincts are right on target! On the cc board I asked what was going on. Fortunately I emailed petlover who sent me here. When I went back to visit the cc board there was a message from ringworm giving me an email address where I could get clarification about what was going on. Soooo glad I chose to ignore it! And most of all....SO GLAD I FOUND ALL OF YOU!!!

Andi - I cannot believe they would do that to you!!!!! Personally, there are some members of the CC board who I have issues with. One actually emailed me privately attacking my opinions (that's why they are called opinions...and not statements of fact). I think I will be spending my time and efforts here instead.

I can't imagine someone having the nerve to write to someone privately and attack them. I am continuously astonished. :eek:
