Sorry about the dive being cancelled. I bet your boys are having a good time no matter what they are doing, and I know you are enjoying just being with them. Safe trip home to Texas.

The captain's announcement, jointly with the CD, said that the tour operators were unable to reschedule the tours. I guess it could be because we aren't due to get there until 4:30. Dunno, otherwise, just going by what was said on the PA system earlier.

Oh, 4:30, yes, I understand. Well, there's always a little laze on the nice beach and a stroll around Margaritaville!

We also went on a search for Bruce Willis and his wedding party. We searched as far as Margaritaville, where the bartender told us that Bruce's wedding was on a private island off the other side of Grand Turk.
We are headed for home now, rocking and a rolling!

We have rocked and rolled throughout the day, everybody survived but we staggered around a lot.

Our bags are packed and out in the hallway, just the carryons to take care of in the morning. We've hugged everybody, just in case we don't see them in the morning.

It's been a wonderful cruise, lots of good friends to share the fun with, and now it's time to go home.

Here we are at the airport in the President's Club :( We left the ship at 8:30 with plenty of time to catch our 11:15 flight.

I am not sure if I am ready for reality just yet, I probably should make out a grocery list while I am sitting here!

We should be at Betty's house by 2:00 to pick up Ellie and then let the chores begin!

Should have known this would happen.
Jan and I got as far as Minneapolis today
only to find our flight to Rapid City cancelled.
So here we are in a hotel with only the bag we packed the night before!
Oh and since Rapid City was closed all day because of a blizzard the best they could do is
put us on the same 9:15 PM flight tomorrow night.
Which means we get into Rapid City at 10:28 pm.
TOMORROW. And that is only if the airport gets open. THEN the roads are closed between Rapid and home so who knows when we will get there.
Hope the rest of you are all comfy and have your dirty clothes washed! :D


Then we get a email and pictures from Jan's brother showing North side of a main street block on fire and totally destroyed today.

Jim, I am feeling soooo bad for you and Jan! Just what you don't want at the end of a great vacation and your delays are at the top of the annoying scale!

So sorry to hear this news Jim. I hope you and Jan are home safe and sound asap. After a trip you always just want to get home. Maybe something good will happen today, a little restaurant with a surprisingly good meal may lift your spirits until you enter that front door and plop into your own bed.

I am downloading pix right now and will upload them to the Kodak site later today. I got brave and stepped on the scale this morning to see I have gained 4lbs. I am pretty sure that Ricardo and Franco are the reason!

We made it as far as Rapid City arriving about 10:30 pm and in our room at 11:00 pm.
Now all the road reports show the roads are closed going the way we need to go so looks like
at least another day before we get home. Course now we have are car so that helps.

Jim, I was just wondering if you all had made it home yet. Being safe is the main thing. The TV feed from Rapid City on the weather channel didn't look that good yesterday. Try to enjoy your "extended" vacation.
