Hi Margo! Go to "cruise reviews" on LCT and look at the first topic. Our own Techette Karen S has pinned it up there so it's easy to find.
Hi Ardis! Freddie is the navigator on the bridge who is making the reports on sea conditions & ship position.
cheers, Anne

I can't understand Debbie and Clay either. Yes, too much laundry and no positive interaction with other people. I can relate to that since I am not a "people person" either. But their entire WC centers around beer and exercise classes. I admire their ability to do most ports on their own. They have done much research and seem to really dig out the things to see.

Donna, Thanks for the tip. We will certainly be up in the obervation lounge for a drink or two as it's one of our favorite spots. Hong Kong is truly an amazing city with an ever changing skyline and building that never seems to stop. Today the weather was cloudy when we started out, but now its sunny and about 80*, just beautiful. This morning went to Aberdeen to see the boat people that live on the sampans. There were hundreds of them and it was quite a sight. Then we walked through a fruit and veggie market where everything from live chickens, ducks, fish and shellfish are sold. This afternoon a long walk and some shopping capped off the day. Tonight a fish dinner at Yu awaits. We have had wonderful chinese food every day so this will be a nice treat.

I think everybody who has the tenacity to keep a journal on a trip like this will have a different style of doing so, and they are all interesting in their way. To each his own.
One person's will be port-oriented, full of enthusiasm for new destinations; the next will be people-oriented, talking about who they met and who they had dinner and partied with; another will be cataloguing the minutiae of what they ate, what they did each hour, and not mention any people at all; yet another might go all existential and muse on the meaning of life, who knows. I would hope that in each case they are writing mostly for themselves, and that what they have written will be something they can go back to later to help remember their experience.

Good point Wendy! When I think back on our cruises and land vacations I will ALWAYS remember the people we met and fun times together long before I'll remember things we saw in the various ports. Truly a "to each his own thing". I guess this makes me more of a people person

Yes people person Marcie and we all love that about you - your current posts and 2005 WC journal were filled with just the right amount of "little bit of this little bit of that" - perfect

Marcie,
What I admire most about your reports is your warmth and enthusiam. Makes me want to go back for more and it's contagious.

I agree Wendy. I like to think it is just different writing styles and as Ngaire is fond of saying "different strokes. . . ."
I'm enjoying reading all of the journals/seamails/and postings from all of the ships and I'm so glad that folks are willing to share.
I have promised to send seamail when we are on the Mariner in a few weeks, but I'm giving you fair warning that I am not a very stylish writer. I wish I had the talent that Donna and Marcie have for making you feel that you are right there with them. :app: And on the HAL boards over at CC Ides of March and Grumpy have a style of writing that just cracks me up. I think the fact that Debbie and Clay take pictures of Bob and "smuggle" him into forbidden places is a hoot! (I hope I haven't offended Bob) I can also identify with Debbie's food issues, although mine are different and completely normal of course. (My husband came home with 1/2 of a pig--processed and ready for the freezer. I refuse to eat any of the chops, roasts, bacon, sausage, etc. He can't understand why--he claims it's delicious. He says "you eat pork, what's the problem?" I told him that the pork I eat comes from the GROCERY STORE, NOT A PIG! :p Makes perfect sense to me.)
So, I'll be posting seamail and hoping I don't bore you all to tears! ;) And I promise I won't be offended if you analyze me and discuss my quirks as they are revealed. Because I know that this board is full of wonderful, generous people who just love to share their love of cruising. I hope Debbie and Clay realize that too.

I'm going to try to find that blog right now. I just got off The Navigator, after a wonderful (as always) week cruising Radisson.....and someone on board was talking about the Clay blog. Now I'm desperate to find it and read it!!!! LOL.

Karen, oh my. I just took a glance, words escape me. Let me rush out to buy some Poise or depends, I'm in hysterics.
Now, my travel blog, the same as all my other Radisson cruises:
Monday - Relaxed. Got served great food and wine. Soaked up the ambiance. Drank heavily. Laughed.
Tuesday - Continued to relax and be served continuously throughout the day. Drank even more. Laughed even more.
Wednesday - Drank copious amounts. Was waited on hand and foot. Laughed hysterically.
You get the picture.

Jacki, we will appreciate whatever you write!
Charlene, yes, that is going to be my blog next summer too. I work all day at a computer, I cannot imagine posting, surfing or emailing while on holidays. I will, however, try to write a review when I get back, as I usually do.

I'm with you on that, Wendy. I bought a travel journal to write in for my trip to Italy in November. It's still completely blank. I think my photos are as much blog as I am willing to do.
