Sounds like the fun continues! I had to laugh about the clocks losing an hour....we went through that last week adding an hour most every night. I see Nathanial (piano player) is still onboard, he's great. Is Nickel (Nichael) still a bartender in Voyager Lounge amd Emily a barmaid? Such sweethearts!

You all look like you're having a real TAP! Congratulations on the BJ tournament. Is anyone playing trivia or Texas Hold'em?

Love the seamail and photos! Thanks for sharing.

I have crawled down to The Club while they are hopefully cleaning the cabin. My body is not used to this level of alcohol. I had promised myself I would be good last night - well that didn't last long.
I think all I accomplished yesterday was learning to play pooch - but I'm here to rest and party. It's turned into party and a little rest.
Dinner with Lynn, Tina and her mom last night, then a stop in the VL. All fun/great people. That really isn't me in those photos. Noel has been the only bartender to wait on me in the VL, Marcie. Tonight is the B & K cocktail party.
Denise, no one has mentioned anything about leg 2 ports to my knowledge. We'll probably get all that info after the stop in Funchal.
This really is a great cruise and we haven't even been on board 48 hours yet.
Editing to add: Priscilla, Sandra is one of the lecturers on board. Haven't had a a chance to say anything but hi. Will try to find out if she'll be doing CROSS.

COOKING CLASS .... today we began at 9...very interesting lecture and cooking instruction.
We then cooked and ate our wares...menu was wilted spinich, lamb, and a tomatoe terrine (?). It was yummy...was a three hour session. Then, we played gestionary and now going to the ice cream social. It is warm and wonderful with blue skies.

Andi,

I can taste that dish...we made it during WAVE and it was really good. I think Fred has made it at home a few times.

And Sandra as enrichment lecturer - spectacular!

Thanks for the great reports so far....dreaming of CROSS....

Sounds like the fun just continues. WOW Ngaire and Ken in the Master suite - well if anyone deserves that they sure do. Enjoy the cocktail party there!!!

To those in the Cordon Bleu class, so do I understand that you had a three hour session yesterday and did three things, appetizer, entree and dessert? So is that your whole session? When we did Cordon Bleu on the Panama Canal in 2003 - we had three sessions, each about 1 to 1-1/2 hours and did and appetizer at one, entree at another, and dessert at the last. We had a cocktail party the first night, with a special dinner in LaVeranda, and then at the end of the sessions, a graduation dinner in Signatures. Is it different now? Thanks for any info you supply, as I am still deciding whether or not to cancel the class on CROSS.

Keep having fun guys - thats what its all about. Can't wait for more pictures and reports.

Last year the cooking selection was different than when we did it together.

We did multiple courses - not just one per class. It was much better on Voyager than on Mariner since we used the Signatures Kitchen for our cooking - no fire on the French Trolley! We did the same dish as they did; We did two desserts including a souffle; and we did a wonderful Ahi Tuna dish. Maybe Fred or Wendy can pipe in - I am still at work and the recipes are home.

OK, another quickie, after last night's dancing extrafaganza (sp), I spent a quiet day. Last night most of us went to the Voyager Club and danced our feet off. I ate lunch with Ngaire an Ken and then had a private lesson in Pooch. Went to the Jacuzzi and then got ready for Ken and Ngaire's cocktail party in their cabin. It was fabulous. They put out a nice spread. I think most of us ate with officers tonight. Our table consisted of the 3 Jamieson's, myself, Betty, Tina and her mom, Kiely, the guest manager and Engelbert, the hotel manager. He is most charming and definitely 'eye candy'. The dancing marathon tonight is continuing as I write this. I think I am out of shape, I can't do it 2 nights in a row!!!!!Tonight we lose but another hour of sleep.
Will try to find something more interesting for my next update

Joanne, We had a cocktail party the first night and have three classes, a galley tour, and a dinner. The classes are 3 hours each. All I know is that our first class was a full meal.

The cocktail party at 6:30 in Ngaire and Ken's place was tres elegant. They even had caviar!!The Captain showed up and pulled the semi finalists names...the first being Suzanne....Olivia and John and Tonya followed. I forgot the other three winners...but we weren't among them. Maybe next week?

Just got back from a night with Captain Knute...what a sweetie. We had a great table and tons of fun. The Captain ordered seared fois gras for those of us who wanted it and then we had a toast of Aquavit. Dinner and service have been excellent and the crew is wonderful. Then, of course, the gang convened at the Voyager Lounge and danced the night away. It's a great trip and a great group of people.

The Captain told us that home office reports Morocco is very safe and he believes that we will be visiting both ports. If we weren't going there, we could go to Cadiz or Gibraltar.

A tidbit or two you some of you may already know; I hope I am not being redundant...The head of NE Sales visited with us in FL. He said a new ship has been designed but Regent is not moving forward yet due to the dollar vs. Euro situation.

The Captain told us the ship is larger than the Voyager, but with the same number of passengers. It will have 450 sq foot cabins minimum but no pods.

A pod has been ordered for the Mariner but it will take a long time to be built and $10 million before. The Mariner pod was damaged in Alaska by a rock in ice.

Wish you were here with us.

By the way, with no announcement, the Compass Room is now all non-smoking. Apparently, the navigator and Mariner have been, so the Voyager is the last. This may be good news for some and bad for others, but that is the way it now is.
Lynn
PS susan W. I have tried to email you, but I am having problems with outgoing email. Everything worked out fine. Thanks for everything.

Another wonderful day at sea. I think everyone has covered our day 3. The Cordon Bleu class was great. The lamb was delicious. In our next class we'll make dessert, then the final class we make a 3 course meal.

Yesterday on the pool deck they had the All American BBQ and Ice Cream Social. After lunch, Suzanne, Tonya and I decided to get some exercise so we came up with the Pinot Grigio Mile. Seven laps around the ship while finishing 1 glass of wine.

Today is Pizza & Pasta on deck for lunch. After that...who knows.. but we do know one thing...
Tonight.... we DANCE!!

I was really sorry to hear about the non-smoking in Compass Rose. That will about do it for me and a lot of others who have been loyal Regent cruisers. Guess Lynn and I will have to find something else for vacations.
