Today Gmail indicates to me that I have ten invitations to send to friends. So, my friends, let me know if you want one of them!

The Gmail invitation asks for your current email address, your first name, and your last name. To protect your current email address from surfing spammers, I suggest you obscure it in some way I can figure it out (e.g., georgeogoodmanATgmail.com).

If you'd prefer to private message me instead of posting in this thread, that's OK, too.

Sorry to be ignorant .. what's Gmail?

Gmail is the new Email service that's being offered by Google. It's like Hotmail or Yahoo mail in that it's a web-based Email service so you can access it anywhere there's an Internet connection (like aboard RSSC). The big advantage of Gmail is that it offers a TON of storage space (so you can archive all of your conversations). Also, the way that it organizes your messages in the form of conversations is very logical and makes it very easy to reference old messages to find out what you were talking about.

Currently, Gmail is in beta testing but seems stable and I have seen no problems with using it. Highly recommended!
