For everyone celebrating the High Holidays (Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur) October 3rd to October 13th, a very happy and healthy New Year. For everyone -- not just those celebrating the New Year -- a year full of peace, tranquility, health, and happiness without conflict or hurricanes. Judith

Yes, to all celebrating, I wish everyone a very healthy and happy New Year, all the best

MrsMoose

To Marcie, according to my friend who we had dinner with last night, next week I think he said tuesday is Jewish New Year (sometimes referred to as High Holiday) with all due respect to anyone Jewish here, I hope I got it right.

Marcie, it's the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, that begins the evening of Oct. 3 for all of our members and friends who observe the Jewish traditions. It runs for a 10 day period, ending with the Yom Kippur Day of Atonement on Oct. 13. I echo Mrs. Moose - if it's an incorrect explanation, please educate us by correcting this summary.

Enjoy a happy New Year, Judith and others, and have an easy fast on Yom Kippur. Cheers, Anne

Thanks Anne! Of course I knew Yom Kippur was coming up, I should have figured that one out myself. I apologize for offending anyone with my ignorance. Anne, with you brains and my (well I can't think of anything?) we'll go far! Thanks for the explanation.

A very Happy New Year!

Marcie

Oy Vey! Rosh Hashana is the New Year which is two days. Starts the 10 days of awe - a time of introspection. Yom Kippur is the day of atonement and is very holy.

Great description Kathy! Marcie you did not need to apologize since you didn't offend any once. Happy New Year to all who celebrate the Jewish New Year. Nancy
