Aloha OK- I am embarrassed to admit that I can not figure this out ! When using this site my Mac will not remember my last visit. In other words the LTC site will not high light the new posts since my last visit. It did at one time but not now. I do allow cookies etc, but I don't know what I changed. On that other site, CC everything is fine and on my windows PC also works with CC and LTC. So HELP, I know I am forgetting something.

John, I am not Mac friendly so I am hoping some of the other Mac users will help you out! In the meantime, bookmark this page and it will take you to the list of new posts: New posts list

Go into your profile here on LCT but on the new computer.
Go to Preferences in your profile; go to Default Topic View Then change the post indicators to Posts for last XX days to show.
I think that's what you are looking to reset.

John, let me know if Kathy's advice works. I didn't know you had a new computer, I thought your old one just started to act up here on LCT. Kathy's suggeston should take care of your problem in you have never set the new post indicator thing.

Chatkat, Karen, thanks for your input but I did not explain my situation well. This is not a new computer. What I tried to explain is , when you visit the LTC site then go back some time later the site shows new posts since your last visit in bold print and the yellow dot is on for those new posts. On my mac it dose not. That is what I would like to fix. Thanks for your help. JD

John, I am really at a loss to tell you what to do now. I don't have the yellow dot as my indicator. What you should see for new posts is a ships wheel that spins like this ![[Linked Image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/iamtribble/spinningwheel.gif) in front of the new post. If there are no new posts, the wheel next to the post doesn't spin.

I would be delighted to! We can stop and pick up Masaki on the way, he's the Mac guru! I can play in the surf while I ponder your problem ;)

I just found the light bulbs you were talking about. While we figure out while yours aren't lighting up, maybe you can try out the new posts page I linked you to above. Maybe the problem might be that our LCT software is outdated and not interacting well with your Mac?

My Mac does "turn off the light bulbs" when there isn't a new post in that forum, if I read that forum on this computer. If I read it on my iPad or my computer at the office, then when I sit down at this computer the light is still "on". I know that's oversimplistic, but just thought I'd throw it out.

Maybe you cleared your cache. Go into your profile and mark all posts as read. It's the Update New Posts Indicator link. Click it and all the posts in LCT will turn off the lightbulb
