I had to have a new picture taken for our website last Friday and as soon as they send me a copy I will post the latest Don.

Not much on the weight loss front this week though. Less than a pound, but at least it is still going down and not up, which is a good thing.

Don, we have not met, I am so in awe of what you and Andrea have done. Don...OMG!!! You look amazing!! It really brings tears to my eyes because I know how you feel when you look at the old photo compared to the new one. When I'm feeling a little down because the scale isn't moving or just feel like I want to splurge I look back at my old photos and it really helps me get my inspiration back.

Don, oh my goodness. You look like a movie star. No, better than a movie star (they don't look all that good these days). I'm so impressed with both you and Andrea. You are such good examples for setting a goal and sticking to it. Andrea, looking forward to more photos of you, too.

I don't drop by this thread very often but i just happened to pop it open and read about Andrea and Don's accomplishments. Congratulations you two and Don, WOW!! That picture is amazing. Now I *really* owe you a drink. :)

I'm sorry that I've been gone for awhile. It has been a rather trying week. I flew out to CA. to be with my father who is 88 years old and is now in the final stages of Alzheimer's. Hospice has been called in and it now looks like it is just a matter of days or at the most a couple of weeks.

We were originally supposed to leave for CROSS on Monday, but we had to cancel awhile back because of my job situation. At the time I was pretty upset about it, but now I am glad that I was able to be there to see him. Everything happens for a reason!

Anyway, inspite of the stress the scale still moved downwards and I was especially surprised at how much. I thought that stress usually makes you gain weight, but I found that I was down 4 lbs from last week and 6 from when I last posted. I am now down 138 lbs and I'm only eight pounds from pre-maintenance and 18 lbs from my goal weight!

On another good note. I hadn't told my family about my weight loss and my brother almost walked right past me at the airport when he came to pick me up Sunday night.

Please know that you and your family will be in my, and Larry's, thoughts and prayers, in this difficult time.

Don - Alzheimer's is such a tough time with a loved one. We are glad you could be with your dad but sorry his prognosis is so poor.

Don, so sorry to hear about your dad. I have a friend who is going through this with her husband (he is in early 60's and not incapacitated yet but quickly getting there). It's a very sad disease.
I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks y'all! It was really hard seeing him like that as I know you can understand. He is bed bound, can't speak, and does not eat solid foods anymore, but he did manage a smile when he saw me and that meant so much to me. Thank you so much for your love and support. I really appreciate your prayers.

Great news about the weight loss--just keep it up!

It has been a rough couple of weeks for me and I so appreciated everyones prayers.

Today was weigh in. My weight had been down, then back up two last week, but moved downwards again today by three pounds. So, I am now down 139 lbs total and am just 17 pounds from goal!

It was especially encouraging this week, when Ngaire didn't even recognize me. While I was standing right there, she asked Diana if I was coming to the luncheon!!! Now, that was funny!!! Talk about a real lift!

Congrats Don...glad to hear you've been able to stay on track. Your loss is simply amazing!!

I've been doing really great myself - I'm now down 105 lbs! I bought a new pair of Levi's over the weekend - size 12. I simply cannot believe it!

I also finally got around to getting a new photo taken.

Don, I'm glad to hear you are back on track. It's as tough keeping the weight off once we lose it as it is losing it in the first place. Never lose sight of how impressive your accomplishment has been. You are literally one in 1,000.
