I turned my computer off while I was on SAND. When I came back, I tried to access my yahoo email accounts and when I sign in and then try to click on my inbox, a thin blue column appears in the middle of the screen that won't let me go on any further. If I right click on the column about fifty times it will eventually disappear. I can't figure out what it is because it's only a few milimeters wide. It happens when I open both of my yahoo accounts. It doesn't happen when I open my yahoo account at work. I know it sounds weird and I'm probably not explaining it well but if anyone has seen this before please let me know what it is and how to get rid of it. Thanks!
Julie

try running your virus protection and then try defragging the computer. if i remember, i'll ask my son for his suggestions since he's a computer technician.

Julie, this sounds like your problem:
When I try to login to yahoo for email the browser locks up and a little blue line appears in the middle of the screen. Whats going on? Help!
On your computer go the C:\program files\Yahoo! file folder and locate a file called npYstate.dll . Right click on this file and in drop down menu go to change name. Using the left arrow key move the cursur all the way to the left and add an X at the front of the name. It will look like this XnpYstate.dll. Close and reopen browser and then try accessing mail again. And if that doesn't work, someone else suggested this fix:
I had to log into yahoo mail using a different ID (created a new Mail address), then you have to select the new upgrade (#7) yahoo is offering. Once you down load the new upgrade you are able to access your old e-mail address and everything is working as usual.
