Arlene - Susan's suggestion would have been my first suggestion as well. Wild Ginger is pan-Asian with a great satay bar. It's perfect for grazing, as you can order an assortment of their wonderful satays to share. Wild Ginger has been a favorite of Seattle foodies for almost 20 years and is very popular. Therefore, it would be prudent to make a reservation, particularly if you will be six or more, in order to get a large table. It's an easy walk (six blocks) from your hotel.
If the group wants Northwest seafood in a very informal atmosphere, there is Ivar's on Alaska Way and Madison (on the waterfront), another easy walk from your hotel (although be warned that the five or six block walk back to your hotel is uphill). More upscale but still reasonable options for Northwest seafood are Chandler's Crabhouse or Ivar's Salmon House, both on Lake Union (a short cab ride from your hotel).
You can Google any of these restaurants to get more details, phone numbers, etc. Have fun.
Cheers, Fred
