John is asking: I hate this, b/c as a man I should know how to obtain this information. We're thinking about a new car, does anyone know of websites that give the bottom line MSRP (for free)? I'd like to know when we try to negotiate for the BMW Z8. The sticker is over $120K, but I think I could get it for $119K :D :D . Seriously, looking at the Z4. Thanks.

www.kbb.com Also, but Edmonds is better. I have a 3 series and love it. (328i). Have you seen the new 635? Only 80-90K. I want THAT one. But then I won't be able to travel. Choices are hard. (just kidding)

Kim & John:
When you know what model & all the extras you want, you might want to check in with Consumer reports for their cost sheet. I think they charge for this, but it is like $10 or so. Nothing like the cost of a car.
Good luck!
Doug

Hi guys. Doug, first thing we did was go to consumer reports (we pd. online), very useful, good ratings. Kathy, is the 635 the convertible? I looooove it!! I always liked Beamers and thought I'd get one eventually. What brought me to these decision was that I've considered buying an old vette (Stingray yrs-68-73) for awhile. Just as a weekend around town car. John (along w/practically everyone else) convinced me to buy something NEW, w/warranty, reliable, blah blah blah. And I do love the car, now just have to order it. I'm stuck on colors (red, black, grey...) decisions decisions

Chip,
It's okay here - it's off topic here. Where's Chippy?

Chip, he's GONE! Vamoose is an allowed option on this board. I hate to even bring up smoking cessation, but that picture makes me feel guilty every time you post. How are you doing?

Kimmi,
I have the Brilliant Silver but I adore the Gray. I wanted the Gray but I had a hard time finding one with the options I wanted at the price I wanted so I settled for the silver - which is great! One nice thing is that it doesn't show the dirt. The Black (I had black before and never again) looks good, but literally less than 5 minutes after you wash it, it is dirty looking again. And it attracts the hot and heat of the sun. The red fades in the sun too.
