Going to The Four Seasons in Scottsdale, Az.,for dinner, travel time is about 2 minutes from our home, but it should be very romantic. Sometimes I think we moved here so we wouldn't have to travel so much. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! ;)

Dinner out at a surprise restaurant, assuming the icy/slushy mix melts before it freezes.

It's the first time we've done something actually on Valentine's Day in a long time. Marika will be visiting her grandparents for the earlier part of the night. :)

Gil will be eating his spaghetti and meatballs alone at his place,playing with photoshop and proof-reading my chapter. I'll be here at my place working on the book, chatting with my kids, eating ONE of the truffles I got them and watching the idiot box. :( seems the weather decided not to cooperate with us today, (it was raining ice all day) so our romantic dinner at the restaurant tonight has to be postponed till friday.

Tis a far better thing to wait, then to risk life and limb.

Happy Valentine's Day! We will probably eat at home. Depends on what Whole Food's has on display when I stop there on the way home. Thinking some seafood or something to BBQ. Maybe even BBQ Lobster tail. Arlene, probably a good night to stay in - the restaurants are so crowded and of course, frequently over priced too!

HVD, y'all. Well, it sounds like everyone is having a very nice Valentine's Day. Many congrats to the Anniversary Couples. I know today makes your anniversaries special.

I cooked spaghetti for my girlfriend, Lynn and she made the salad. We had a nice dinner together. I am heading to Ocracoke tomorrow to spend the weekend with my special Valentine, Randy. Should be a nice quiet weekend down there.

Hope all of you make it special for the ones you love.

Well, Joanna, As I look at weather.com, they are calling for 30s-40s, partly cloudy and snow on Sunday. Randy's taking bets on the snow!!!!! I guess we will be huddling around the space heater in the tiny trailer. We will have plenty of food and liquid refreshment. :pass:

Oh it sounds sooooo wonderful and cozy- I asked as we expect 26 temps here Fri night - we, too, have refreshments and fireplace - and warm down comforter :3smile: :3smile:

SOCAL will be downright warm this weekend with temps expected to be in the low to mid 80'S! You can all fly out here for the weekend - Bring your bikinis!

Denise, Sounds like a good idea..... enjoy your warm temps. We will have them here in a couple of months, then too warm and humid in the summer. I actually enjoy the seasons. Makes me appreciate the spring and fall. Usually the end of February brings a warm spell, where everyone can enjoy the 70s. That would bring a pleasant break from our abnormal cold winter here in NC.

It's a little colder here than Denise's house (it's 0) but it stopped snowing!!

Our internet was off most of Valentine's Day so I couldn't post yesterday, but we spent 3 hours anchored about 2 ship's lengths from the Cape Horn Island in warm sunny skies, no wind and sea like glass. Pat & I spent 2 hours on the bridge and then joined friends in La Veranda for breakfast with a view. The lighthouse keeper's wife & son came on board to stamp all the passports. It was a wonderful start for this special day. The finale was Barry Hopkins singing love ballads in the Horizon Lounge from 9:30 pm. All were had by a good time.
