Rich has been transferred back from St. Louis to his home hospital in Arkansas, for acute rehab. We don't know how long he'll have to be there, but right away he could walk quite a distance with the aid of a walker, so maybe not all summer.

Good for him to be near home. I hope he feels excited that he is able to walk, even with the walker. Attitude goes a long way to recovery.

I'm so glad he's continuing to show progress. He's achieving important milestones, and that must hearten all of you.

I just got home from Arkansas; I'm going back on Sunday and bringing Rich home with me on Monday. He'll have some inhome health care and PT, and he has a negative-pressure wound care system. We'll make a trip each week back up there for an appointment with the wound care clinic, and an evening with his wife. His MIL has her hands full caring for Tammy, and is very happy that I can take care of Rich.
What a year we have had, so far. Thanks for being there.
