Alan and I will be in D.C., Sept. 29 - Oct. 3. Would really enjoy getting together with our D.C. area/East Coast friends. Anyone up for dinner or brunch? Open to suggestions.

Marc and Arlene have all ready given the thumbs up!

Saturday night or Sunday brunch works best for us; Arlene will probably only be able to come up for the weekend.

Dinner Saturday night would work well for us. Only committment we have is to spend some time with my cousins, who live in Silver Spring and, of course, do sightseeing during the day. Shall we plan then on dinner? So looking forward to seeing you and Arlene again!

We'll be staying at the Willard.

Sounds good. Don't know particulars but Arlene would probably come up Friday night and go home Sunday so we will spend both days sightseeing, too.

Plenty of time to work out the details. Let's see if we can gather up a group to rival MIMOSA!

I will see if we can sneak over that way. It's Frank's birthday and we've been talking about heading out that way. It's a long shot.

We're in, sounds fun! Lots of time to work out details, we are out in Vienna area, but lets plan on it. :) Will be fun to finally meet you and Alan, and maybe some of the other LCT'ers as well.

This might be doable. I'll check with the War Dept. and see what she has to say.

Cheers! Ray

Since Sunday is Erev Yom Kippur, might be tough to be down there on Saturday. But will try to work it out to get down to DC.

I hope you're able to do so, Beth. I would really enjoy meeting you!

At the rate we're going, we may well surpass MIMOSA!

Anyone else???? Where are the rest of the MIMOSA attendees? Want to see if we can out-do ourselves?

Gil,

If it's Erev Yom Kippur, we can have yontif dinner before services!

Yontif dinner before services??? I'm attempting to put together a non-denominational LCT gathering, not a temple event! ;)

Sounds like great get together Denise - I was envious of the great one you planned "Mimosa" - I am writing down the date as you never know - but what's a shiksa to do for Erev Yom Kippur and yontif dinner??? Joanna

A shana shiksa (YOU) flies herself to D.C. and enjoys the D.C./LCT non-denominational, non-Kosher get-together!

Or, if you can't join us :( :( you could stay in FL and prepare a ham dinner ;)

Thank you Denise for planning a "DC LCT non-denominational" get together. Marc and I are sure looking forward to this. I am glad we have an experienced planner cheer working on this East Coast get together. <img border="0" alt="[beer]" title="" src="graemlins/beer.gif" />

NO, Scalloped potatoes are NOT OK. You need to be in D.C. with your friends, not home making dinner!

No I take it back we went back for biz meeting Tony had in late 80's - I spent the morning at the "wall" alone early misty morning - was sad but loved every minute of it - what a tribute - Joanna

Time to take that trip again, Joanna! Don't make me fly down to FL and drag you!

BTW, I bet you can order ham and scalloped potatoes at the restaurant we wind up choosing. In fact, I will guarantee it for you!

I did not call myself a shiksa - other unhappy Jewish women called me that - I would have made good DIL (Naomi and Sylvia bless your souls) - J

JoAnna,

When you end up out here for a visit, I will make you a brisket and you and Tony can dine here at our house! Denise, you and Alan are always welcome here.

We're going to go to DC, but, the dates are too close to MUSH. We'll still be catching up with our work. I am going to surprise Frank for his birthday and we'll head east early November and probably celebrate mine in DC.

There is a Romanian restaurant in NY I will have to try some time. Schmaltz on the table for your bread. Do they have Lipitor for dessert?

Editing to add, We had a big group going to dinner when we were in DC year before last. We went to The Old Ebbitts Grill and Kincaid's for dinner two of the nights. Old Ebitts was great for a big party - the Maryland Crab Cakes were out of this world.
