For those who are not ready to jump into a Digital SLR camera, I found a great 15x optical zoom point and shoot camera. I just got a new Sony DSC-H50. I got it last week so I've been jumping at an opportunity to test it out. That came yesterday when the forecast was for sunny and 75. Tonya and I decided to go the Washington Nationals game. I got some great shots. On top of that, we ran into my company's former banker and he invited us into his luxury suite about 60 feet behind home plate!!! All I had to do is hear his pitch on how we should switch our busines to his new bank! It was a good trade off.

The 1st set of shots were taken from about 350 feet away at max zoom and the other set of shots were taken from the suite behind home plate. Keep in mind that I had to "dumb" these down in order for them to load quickly on the web. The "raw" photos are incredibly clear considering the max zoom. You can see the 90mph fastball frozen in mid air at max zoom with vibration reduction. If you have any questions about it, let me know.

Here are the photos:

Congrats on the new camera, John. Nice shots. Please tell Tonya she looks FABulous in the pic with whom I assume is the banker dude. Sweet suite! LOL

Thanks Robert, I will let Tonya know.

Jan, it's a great stadium. We've already been to 3 games this year (including opening night). Lots of great food options and even when it's full it doesn't feel crowded when walking around.
