I posted this in the Board News forum but since none of us ever go there, I thought I would post it here as well.

I thought I would do a tutorial on how to post a link in your messages without it showing up in your posts as a giant address. It is really easy to do and I will explain it with pictures :) It looks like a lot of work but it really isn't, it takes maybe 5 seconds and once you have done it once, you will be amazed at how simple it is! If you want to practice, you can try it in a reply on this post.

Click on "full reply form". You don't have to click this button if you are starting a new post as the full reply form is already below the box where you type.

Click on "URL" as shown in the picture below

Delete the http:// thing that they have already provided for you in the little box that pops up.

Cut and paste the address you want to link to in the box and click "OK"

Another box will pop up and this is where you can name your link, like "click here" or what ever you want to call it. Then click "OK"

The link will look funny in the box where you are typing but will show up correctly after you submit your post. You can check to see what it will look like by click on the "Preview Post" button.

GayRie, I am not sure what is more exciting, interchangable shoe tops or that you posted a link!!

What a great idea with the shoes!!!

Good explanation Karen. It really is easy and do what Karen says step by step and you can't go wrong.
